The Traitors winner Harry Clarke has revealed he is yet to spend any of his £95,000 prize money because he’s still ‘too scared’ to touch it.

The former British army engineer was crowned the winner of the latest series of the BBC show, after keeping his status as a Traitor secret from all of the other contestants.

Reuniting with his co-star Mollie Pearce, Harry told the Loose Women panel that his family have been taking care of his winnings while he decides how to spend it.

He said: ‘I’ve got the money… I’m too scared to spend it to be honest. If it was up to me, I’d go and put it all on red but luckily I’ve got my dad who’s got his head screwed on thankfully.

‘I’ve let him and my family sort of have it pretty much – not let them have it obviously, don’t tell them that – but sort of help me.’

Mollie, who was left in tears in Friday’s final when she finally learned Harry was a a traitor, also revealed that she turned down his request to buy her a holiday as a peace offering.

She said: ‘We have to remember, Harry won the game and that’s the end of it.

‘All this stuff about him taking me on holiday and sharing the money with me, that’s not how it works. I didn’t win and Harry did, that’s his money and he worked very hard in there to get it!’

Harry told Mollie: ‘I’m really sorry Mollie! I feel like I’m going to get in trouble now.’ and Mollie added: ‘I like this woman power here!’

Explaining what happened during the final roundtable, Mollie revealed: ‘I actually did write [Harry’s] name fully and I had it on my board for a couple of minutes…. I trusted them both and thought they were both faithful. It was the hardest decision ever.’

Harry also revealed what was going through his mind at the time: ‘I knew Molly was putting my name down anyway because she wouldn’t make any eye contact because I knew how bad she felt so I was like, I just need her to look at me so I can be like ”You’re doing the wrong thing” and then she finally looked at me and she basically said, ”Is it you?” and I said. ”It’s not, it’s not me”.’

Molly then quipped: ‘And then I did and lost!’.

Asked if he found it hard to keep up pretence throughout the show, Harry replied: ‘Of course it was draining because of the long nights… because the Faithfuls would go to bed and the Traitors would stay up and do their murdering.

‘I mean as a kid with five brothers and sisters, I’ve always had to lie to get myself one step ahead so it was just little white lies. Like I’ve said, I found it quite… I didn’t find it easy because the whole thing isn’t easy but I found it… easy I guess to disconnect myself from the emotion. It was the game, yeah!’

Mollie admitted she ‘never saw herself going in there as someone who was going to win’ but ‘loved being there’.

Discussing the response to show since it ended, Harry explained: ‘I think it’s really weird for us as well because we had that long period where we felt all the emotions and then had time to forget about it and go back to normal life, so now it’s like the second time around, so it’s all these emotions but also it’s so good to know that everyone…

‘Because we felt like we worked our socks off and we loved the series so much and the whole of series two cast.

‘We were worried that it wouldn’t do as well as [series] one and it would sort of let it down but seeing the support has been the best thing.’

Harry, who previously revealed how his military background helped him to win The Traitors, said he was quitting for love, declaring: ‘I’m a lover man, I’m a hopeless romantic, it sounds so cringe but it takes that special someone.’

‘I never wanted a full career in the army because I wanted to move back home. I was away Monday to Friday and if I get deployed it’s months where I miss birthdays or you make memories with your partner and that just wasn’t for me.’

Harry is happily loved up with his CBBC star girlfriend, Anna Maynard, sister of I’m A Celebrity star Jack Maynard and singer Conor Maynard.

‘When I met my girlfriend my decision was I’m going to get what I can,’ he explained, ‘and I am ready to leave now.’

‘Luckily when I was on my supervisors course for work that’s when I got messaged to do the TV show but I had already signed off.’

‘They have been amazing though and hopefully will early release me because I have so many crazy meetings with managements and stuff so who knows what’s next.’

Harry has revealed how he was able to fund his lavish lifestyle before his £95,150 show win.

Harry told Mollie: 'I'm really sorry Mollie! I feel like I'm going to get in trouble now.' and Mollie added: 'I like this woman power here!'

The 23-year-old confused fans with his talk about money, saying on the show that he wanted to win in order to treat his family, while later saying on Uncloaked that he ‘didn’t need the money.’

A quick glace at his Instagram shows he lived a comfortable life before finding fame, with pictures of the star on private jets and dripping in designer accessories.

So fans were baffled when Harry revealed in a recent interview that he hasn’t ‘got a pot to p**s in’ and has been borrowing money from his father while he waits for his grand prize to be sent over.

Clearing up the confusion, Harry revealed that his glamorous social media page was not as it seemed and credited his celebrity girlfriend Anna.

Speaking about his perceived wealth, Harry told Metro.co.uk: ‘I wish I had a private jet and I wish I had the money to go on a private jet, it’s a waste of money to be honest.

‘Everyone thinks I’m rich but I was very lucky to meet my other half, whose brothers have worked amazingly hard since they were 15, and I’ve somehow managed to silver-tongue my way through and weave my way into their lifestyle.’

‘Everyone’s like, you’ve got designer bags and this and that, all my designer bags are fake. I wouldn’t spend that money, because it’s a waste of money.

‘And I would never buy anything for myself, and anything I do have designer like my trainers, they were bought for me as a Christmas present.’
