The ex-girlfriend of Marvel actor Jonathan Majors has been arrested for allegedly striking him, after accusing the actor of assaulting her earlier this year.

Grace Jabbari, 30, was arrested Wednesday evening at Manhattan’s 10th Precinct for attacking Majors, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Sources told the outlet that Jabbari had scratched Majors on his right hand and smacked him in the face with an open hand, causing a cut to his cheek and ear.

Jabbari is also alleged to have tore buttons off his coat, TMZ reported she was booked for misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief.

It comes after Majors, 34, lost his motion to dismiss his domestic assault charges Wednesday, after he was arrested in March on misdemeanor for allegedly attacking Jabbari.

Majors faces four misdemeanor charges of harassment and assault after being arrested following the alleged domestic violence incident.

London-based Jabbari initially told police Majors hit and strangled her, but the strangulation charges were dropped.

Now, he is only charged with hurting her arm after police noted she sustained minor injuries after the alleged ordeal.

In court on Wednesday, Majors lost his motion to dismiss his domestic assault charge and will now go to trial.

Judge Michael Gaffey made the ruling in a Manhattan court hearing that Majors attended via video link because he was out of the state.

On September 12, his attorneys filed the motion and claimed the state withheld evidence that would prove Majors’ innocence. This was denied on Wednesday.

A trial start date has not been set.

The messy proceedings were further muddled when Majors filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari, saying that it was her who attacked him.

An NYPD document was created, alerting officers that there was probable cause to arrest Jabbari in June.

The prosecutor on the case has allegedly said that they will not prosecute Jabbari, reports Hollywood Reporter.

Jabbari’s lawyer has not commented, nor has the NYPD.

Priya Chaudhry, Jonathan Majors’ attorney, also did not comment – but has previously shown her steadfast belief that her client Majors is innocent, and that Jabbari ought to be apprehended.

The opposing sides disagree over who the perpetrator of the event on March 25 is.

According to court documents, the couple were in a car when Jabbari saw a message on Majors’ phone that read ‘Wish I was kissing you right now.’ She grabbed the phone, at which point Majors twisted her forearm and struck her ear.

She tried to exit the car, and he ‘threw her back inside,’ causing her ‘sustained substantial pain, including a fractured finger, bruising about her body, a laceration behind her right ear, and a bump on her head,’ the documents state.

On August 4, Priya Chaudhry said in a statement to AlertContent.com: ‘Jonathan Majors has been waiting for 132 days to clear his name of these false allegations while the NYPD waits to arrest his accuser upon her New York return.’

And on August 3, the attorney said: ‘One hundred and thirty-one days ago, authorities unjustly cuffed Jonathan Majors in his own home, hauling him off to jail based on the word of a woman now hunted by the NYPD.

‘Bravely, Jonathan Majors laid bare to the NYPD the relentless, alcohol-fueled abuse he suffered at the hands of Grace Jabbari, an enduring nightmare in their relationship.

‘Now, as soon as Jabbari sets foot back in New York, the NYPD stands ready to arrest her.

‘For an excruciating four months, Jonathan Majors, the real victim in this shameful ordeal, has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart.

‘Yet he remains unwavering in his determination to be absolved from this harrowing ordeal.’

Chaudhry requested a quick trial date for Majors in June, in a bid to speed up the case.

Then on September 6, prosecutors said they were ready for trial and had filed a certificate of compliance, Majors’ attorney claimed to find deficiencies within the document.

This is what caused them to file the motion to dismiss – which has now been denied.
