Coleen Rooney has broken her social media silence for the first time since her bombshell documentary hit screens last week.

On Wednesday, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story aired on Disney+ to shed light on the true story behind her battle with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, 41.

In 2019, Coleen, 36, publicly accused Rebekah of leaking stories from her personal Instagram account to The Sun newspaper, leading to a High Court war, which saw Coleen reign victorious – as laid out in the acclaimed documentary.

On Monday, the Liverpudlian star took to Instagram to thank followers for their support in response to the show: ‘After a really busy week, I caught up and read all my messages this weekend (there were loads!!)…

‘I am overwhelmed with such positive, loving, supportive messages. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone of you. I really do appreciate it [sic].’

Totally unbothered: While Coleen has been winning huge praise on home soil, Rebekah fled the UK in the lead-up to the documentary and is with her family in Dubai

Outrageous: The Wagatha Christie tale has dominated headlines for years, with Coleen finally telling her side of the story in the Disney+ documentary, after she revealed Rebekah had started leaking stories on her from 2017 onwards

Coleen has been blazing the promo trail for the documentary, with appearances on Women’s Hour and a slew of interviews taking place last week.

While Coleen has been winning huge praise on home soil, Rebekah fled the UK in the lead-up to the documentary and is with her family in Dubai.

She has been littering her social media accounts with fun-filled snaps from her trip in the wake of the shocking revelations touched on in the show.

Last week, Coleen liked a fan’s tweet referencing Rebekah’s sick plans to use her late disabled sister Rosie to enhance her story leaking plot.

When Rebekah took Coleen to the High Court for defamation, private WhatsApps showed Rebekah making reference to Coleen’s sister.

In the midst of Coleen’s three year sting to unveil the ‘snitch’ on her private account, she unfollowed Rebekah – who was revealed to have messaged her agent Caroline Watt to say she should ‘say something about Rosie’ to get back in Coleen’s fold.

Coleen’s parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin took Rosie in in as a foster child when she was two before later adopting her. She passed away aged 14 in 2013 following her lifelong battle with Rett syndrome, a rare disorder that causes severe disabilities.

Hurtful: Last week, C oleen liked a fan’s tweet referencing Rebekah ‘s sick plans to use her late disabled sister Rosie to enhance her story leaking plot

After explaining how she worked out Rebekah was the perpetrator of the leaks, she revealed her first instinct was to merely unfollow the star – thus removing Rebekah as one of the followers on Coleen’s account.

Soon after, Coleen revealed she was approached by Rebekah, who messaged her saying: ‘Hi my love… hope you are ok?… I saw you had unfollowed me…

‘And I wasn’t following you you anymore on Instagram… Just wanted to ask… If I had done something or offended you in any way?’, after which Coleen stated: ‘I just thought… you’re so two-faced’, to the camera.

Coleen then read a message from Rebekah to Caroline, saying: ‘I never usually message her and say hi. Maybe I should say something about Rosie’.

In disgust, Coleen said of the vile plan: ‘To plan to create a story to get me to reply to back is one thing but to use my sister who’s passed away is just… wrong’.
