Journalist Bari Weiss has shared photos of sickening, anti-Semitic graffiti left on the walls of The Free Press’s offices last week as its reporters continue to cover the conflict in Israel and war with Hamas.

Weiss, a former New York Times journalist who founded The Free Press in 2020 and is proudly Jewish, has been vocal in her criticism of Hamas and the need for honest coverage of the war since it began on October 7.

The graffiti, left on the walls of the hallways leading to the outlet’s New York office, said: ‘F**k Israel, f**k the Jews.’

Olivia Rheingold, a New York-based staff writer for The Free Press, also shared a video of the vandalism.

‘This was scrawled outside of our offices this week,’ said Weiss, sharing photos of the abuse on Twitter.

‘If the antisemites who did this think it will intimidate me and the journalists of, they don’t know me, they don’t know us, and they have no idea what we stand for.’

‘This is what we walked into last week at The Free Press,’ she said. Her first text to a friend upon seeing it was: ‘This just makes our reporting more important than ever.’

There has been rampant antisemitism in New York City and further afield since Hamas launched its October 7 attack.

‘This is what we walked into last week at The Free Press,’  said Rheingold.  Her first text to a friend upon seeing it was: ‘This just makes our reporting more important than ever.’

Swastikas have been painted on iconic Jewish delis and social media slurs from bankers, professors and even doctors have led to them losing their jobs.

In Detroit, synagogue president Samantha Woll was stabbed outside her home.

There was also a heinous, xenophobic attack against a young Muslim boy in Plainfield, Illinois.

Wadea al-Fayoume, six, was stabbed to death by his racist white landlord who yelled ‘You Muslims must die!’ before killing him and attacking his mother.

Weiss resigned from The New York Times in 2020 citing a lack of ideological diversity at the paper where she had worked for years.

In her resignation letter, she alleged being labeled a ‘Nazi’ and ‘racist’ by her colleagues.

She founded The Free Press with the promise of resisting the type of left-leaning bias that has swept most mainstream American media brands.
