A 19-year-old man has died and a teenager is in hospital fighting for his life after a overloaded car carrying six people slammed into a wall.
The horror crash took place last night in the in Calderdale near Halifax, West Yorkshire, shortly after 11.15pm.
A white Seat Ibiza was travelling in Brow Lane towards Low Bentley when it ploughed into a wall, West Yorkshire Police said.
The 19-year-old driver died at the scene and an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital in a ‘life-threatening’ condition, cops said.
Four other passengers in the car – which is built to carry up to five people – also suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. They are being treated in hospital.

Police have this morning closed off the road and officers from the major collision enquiry team are investigating the crash.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area or lives nearby to check their dashcam or CCTV for any relevant footage that could assist with the investigation.
