Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving enjoying the company of his family, celebrities and his new ‘adopted son’ Elon Musk as they enjoyed his theme song ‘YMCA’ at a Mar-a-Lago holiday bash.
Much of the Trump family was at the party as well, with son Barron looking on in amusement as his father and the new DOGE co-chair attempted to do Trump’s signature dance to the Village People classic.
Elon joined families together, bringing his spitfire mother Maye, who has been seen passionately backing her son on television in recent weeks.
In another video, Musk was seen hobnobbing with Stallone, a newer fixture around the so-called ‘Winter White House.’
The Rocky icon compared the president-elect to the Founding Fathers, calling him ‘the second George Washington’ at a star-studded Mar-a-Lago bash two weeks ago.
Also in attendance were wife Melania, daughter Tiffany, son Eric and Eric’s wife and RNC co-chair Lara Trump.
Elon appeared to be having a blast with his new ‘adopted family,’ with social media pointing out what Trump has in the past: he never seems to leave.
‘I think the Donald has adopted him,’ joke one MAGA fan upon seeing the videos.
Another wrote: ‘Elon has residency now at Mar-a-Lago.’
A more snarky commenter snapped: ‘Elon has made himself right at home. Looks like he even took Don Jr’s seat at the table!’
One user couldn’t help but enjoy Barron’s amused face at the attempt to do his father’s now iconic dance moves: ‘Barron’s like “Okay have we had enough of this song yet father.’
Trump has made several jokes since the election about how he can’t get rid of Musk, who became a major ally, fundraiser and organizer for the president’s successful campaign win over Kamala Harris.
After the win, Trump joined the House Republican conference meeting where he gave remarks while visiting DC. Seated front and center at the gathering on Capitol Hill was the world’s richest man.
According to one person in the room Trump, 78, joked to the House Republicans ‘Elon won’t go home.’
‘I can’t get rid of him. Until I don’t like him,’ the President-elect reportedly said.
Musk has been a near permanent fixture at the center of the Trump transition since the ex-president won the 2024 election with considerable campaign help from the businessman.
It comes after Trump announced Musk will co-lead a new Department of Government Efficiency along with 2024 GOP presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Trump said in his statement it would pave the way for his administration to dismantle ‘Government Bureaucracy’ and that would be ‘potentially, “The Manhattan Project” of our time.’
‘We finally have a mandate to delete the mountain of choking regulations that do not serve the greater good,’ Musk wrote Wednesday on X, which he also owns.
But the move has also been met with criticism as Musk’s companies have tangled with the very agencies he will now be dealing with directly.
