A Texas mother has been accused of allegedly stabbing her husband and then driving into a pond with her three young children. 

Wei Fen Ong, from Carrollton, has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing her husband and for reportedly driving her car into a lake with her three children- aged eight, nine and 12. 

She has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury. 

Carrollton police responded to a call made from a home in the 4400 block of Tall Knight Lane after the husband had been stabbed. 

First responders took him to the hospital and officials said he is expected to survive.

Police and firefighters immediately responded and pulled the accused and two of the children out of the submerged vehicle. The oldest was able to break free on their own.

The pre-teen and mother were examined at Medical City in Lewisville.

Audreyanna Lagunes, who lives nearby told Fox5: ‘Oh my heart sank, I have children. I have grandchildren, so I’m very sensitive to that.

‘She had to be going really fast. She had to be going more than 20-30 miles per hour, those are pretty deep. 

‘What kind of toll is that going to take on the long run? How long they were under?’ 

Carrollton police arrested the accused, who is being kept at the Denton County Detention facility. 

Police said two of the children are in stable condition and a third is in critical condition. 

Officials are continuing their investigation with cooperation from other family members to determine why the incident happened.
