A body language expert has said that footage of Donald Trump and Elon Musk celebrating Thanksgiving painted the president-elect’s son Barron as being the adult in the room.

Footage emerged from inside Mar-a-lago on Thursday night of Trump and Musk singing his theme song ‘YMCA’ alongside his youngest son Barron.

The 18-year-old watched on in amusement as the billionaire attempted to do Trump’s signature dance to the Village People classic tune.

UK-based body language analyst Judi James had a different take on proceedings however, saying she thought the younger Trump came out as the adult of the trio.

Speaking with Dailymail.com, James said: ‘There are some ‘rolling rolls’ visible in this video of Trump, his youngest son and his ‘best buddy’ Musk.

‘Trump sits between the two during Thanksgiving and there is a generational ritual that most parents will be familiar with, where the parent acts out the child role and the child becomes the (often disapproving) adult.

‘As his theme song kicks off, Trump expresses his Free Child state, slapping the table before breaking out into his signature drying-yourself-with-a-towel dance.

‘After slapping the table he slaps Musk’s shoulder in a bid to get a little bit of mirroring activated.’

James continued: ‘Musk obligingly joins in, raising his arms to be the life and soul of the party although a certain hint of awkwardness suggests he’s stepping outside his comfort zone.

‘When Trump turns to Barron though he gets little more than a polite smile and a pose of utter adult elegance.

‘It’s Barron who now looks like the adult in the room and Melania mirrors her son here, although her wider smile does look more reciprocal.’

She added: ‘We then get a salvo of ‘fun’ mixed with ‘authoritarian’ gestures from Musk, including a steepling of the fingers, suggesting he finds the mix of letting your hair down playfulness and alpha leadership a less easy state than the next resident of the White House.’

Trump’s wife Melania, daughter Tiffany, son Eric and Eric’s wife and RNC co-chair Lara were also spotted at the bash.

Musk’s mother Maye, who has been seen passionately backing her son on television in recent weeks, was also in attendance.

In another video, Musk was seen chatting with Sylvester Stallone, a newer fixture around the so-called ‘Winter White House.’

The Rocky icon compared the president-elect to the Founding Fathers, calling him ‘the second George Washington’ at a star-studded Mar-a-Lago bash two weeks ago.

On Thursday, Elon appeared to be having a blast with his new ‘adopted family,’ with social media pointing out what Trump has said in the past: he never seems to leave.

Trump has made several jokes since the election about how he can’t get rid of Musk, who became a major ally, fundraiser and organizer for the president’s successful campaign win over Kamala Harris.

At the House Republican conference meeting on Capitol Hill, Trump reportedly joked: ‘Elon won’t go home.’ ‘I can’t get rid of him. Until I don’t like him.’

Musk has been a near permanent fixture at the center of the Trump transition since the ex-president won the 2024 election with considerable help from the businessman.

Earlier this month, Lara Trump said that Barron deserved some ‘serious credit’ for his father’s presidential win.

Lara, 42, who is married to Eric Trump, had been speaking with Patrick Bet-David on his podcast when she made the comments concerning her younger brother-in-law.

She told Bet-David: ‘Barron Trump is so cool. He’s like the sleeper. He’s kind of stayed out of the spotlight intentionally.

‘Barron makes us all look so little. He’s really smart, very entertaining, he’s his father’s son.

‘He is going to do really incredibly things, there have been many times I’ve been traveling over the course of the campaign with my father-in-law in the car

‘Barron will call and say “Dad, I have an idea of how you can get more votes, you need to go to this baseball stadium” or whatever.

‘He’s always throwing out ideas. We have to give Barron some serious credit.’

Barron is rarely seen publicly, but is credited with helping his dad earn the ‘bro vote’ by getting him to engage in some podcast interviews.

He is credited with spearheading the so-called ‘Bro Vote’ movement that secured his father’s unprecedented election victory by acting as his unofficial podcast adviser.

The college freshman was ‘very involved’ in selecting which podcasts the former president would appear on.

He was the one who urged him to sit down with video game streamer Adin Ross as well as with Joe Rogan, who hosts the most popular podcast in the world.
