A woman who was displaced from her Aurora, Colorado apartment by the Tren de Aragua gang slammed ABC News for minimizing the damage done in an interview with JD Vance.

Cindy and Edward Romero moved out of the apartment due to safety concerns after they filmed a shootout between gang members in late August.

Martha Raddatz grilled Vance on ABC’s ‘This Week’ Sunday by claiming it was ‘limited to a handful of apartment complexes’ and was dealt with, which left the vice presidential nominee irate.

Speaking to Fox News Digital Tuesday, Romero also incensed at how her and her family’s ordeal was portrayed.

‘I feel like it’s a slap in the face. How many gangs is okay to have in Aurora? How many properties is okay to take over? How many people, who are citizens paying their bills, is it okay to displace?’

In their apartment, the Romeros had an elaborate system of locks running from the top of the door to the bottom before they got fed up and fled.

Romero also had a problem with how Raddatz framed things, as something the Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman and Governor Jared Polis have not taken the issue seriously enough.

‘I feel like the mayor and the governor and the [police] all downplay the situation,’ she said.

After a shootout at the apartment complex earlier this month, the Romeros’ car was riddled with bullets.

‘I was pushed out of my apartment by gang activity, people carrying guns in the hallway and patrolling the grounds with guns.’

Romero – who spoke out during Donald Trump’s visit to Colorado on Friday – says that the media didn’t take her at face value or do their research and have left her stranded.

‘I’m a taxpayer, I pay my bills, I do what I’m supposed to do,’ she added.

In the footage Romero posted, the alleged Venezuelan gang seized control of an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado.

The heavily armed mob are seen storming through the residence brandishing guns in the video that emerged on Wednesday. A man in a hoodie lugs a high-powered rifle and pounds on a door in the building while several others wield pistols.

Members of the gang rush up the stairwell, bearing weapons. In the background, the men can be heard speaking to one another in Spanish.

At the end of the video, the door opens and the gang members all walk into the apartment. It wasn’t clear whether anyone inside the home was injured.

The footage comes as the migrant crisis under ‘border czar’ Kamala Harris has spiraled into chaos. The Venezuelan Tren de Aragua mob has established footholds across the country, including in Colorado.

Incidents of migrant-related crime have caused the dismal situation at the border to fall under greater scrutiny.

Under Biden and Harris’ administration, illegal immigration into the US has ballooned into 8 million crossings.

In 2021, Harris, ‘the border czar’ was charged with stemming the flow of illegal immigration.

Romero was a guest as Trump spoke to a crowd of thousands of MAGA faithful in Aurora, Colorado, where he announced a brand new illegal migrant operation named after the town.

‘Operation Aurora’ will target Tren De Aragua. Trump delivered the new policy objective while standing next to blown-up mugshots of several of the gang members apprehended by the Aurora Police Department.

Trump said Friday that Operation Aurora would act as a gang member removal program invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 ‘to target and dismantle every illegal migrant criminal network operating on American soil.’

It is currently unclear, however, how the plan would differ from current policies that enable the U.S. to remove violent criminals.

The ex-president continued riffing on ‘migrant crime’ enabled by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s immigration policies inspired his campaign’s creation of the plan.
