The shocking moment a US Navy parachutist crash-landed on top of a mother and teen during a San Francisco Fleet Week display has been caught on camera.
Dramatic video shows the Leap Frogs parachutist flailing haphazardly through the air before landing in the middle of the horrified crowd on Sunday.
Their chaotic descent followed a successful touchdown by another parachutist moments before, several feet away in the landing spot as spectators applauded.
People could be heard shouting ‘ohhhh’ and ‘oh no’ as the second parachutist floated down before making the accidental landing on spectators.
A witness who captured the chaos on her phone said the mother and teen were ‘promptly rescued by the fleet week team’ afterwards. They suffered minor injuries.

The San Francisco Fire Department added that the mother was taken to hospital for further evaluation, while the teen was evaluated in the field.
Dramatic photographs published by the San Francisco Chronicle show medics carrying the mother from the scene on a stretcher as worried spectators crowded around her.
The parachute blunder came around 12.35pm Sunday at the Armed Forces event in the Bay Area’s Marina Green, in northern San Francisco.
‘Our thoughts are with the individual and their family,’ the U.S. Navy said in a statement about the incident.
‘Safety is our number one priority. We cannot immediately assess what happened; however, we will review this incident to determine the cause.’
The parachutist did not suffer any injuries, according to the US Navy.
San Francisco Fleet Week is an annual celebration of the nation’s Armed Forces.
Members put on air shows, flight demonstrations and ship tours among other attractions for locals and tourists to enjoy.
Fleet Week is the grand finale of the summer event, which concluded October 14 this year.
