Kemi Badenoch will today face questions from Conservative members after her remarks on maternity pay sparked a row on the first day of the party conference in Birmingham.
The shadow business secretary and Tom Tugendhat will appear on stage this afternoon with Liz Truss and Jeremy Hunt also featuring this morning.
Ms Badenoch sparked a row when she appeared to suggest maternity pay had ‘gone too far’ with the claims rejected by leadership rivals Robert Jenrick, James Cleverly and Mr Tugendhat.
