Oasis fans are today scrambling to buy tickets to watch the band’s reunion tour after the general sale opened to the public.
A limited number of tickets were purchased on Friday evening during a three-hour presale window which saw some listed online for more than £6,000 – around 40 times the face value of a standing ticket – prompting a warning from the band they could be cancelled.
The legendary Britpop band sparked a frenzied reaction on following confirmation of their comeback with shows announced in the UK and Ireland in July and August next year which led to extra dates added to meet demand.
