alert-–-robert-f-kennedy-jr.-has-reached-out-to-a-candidate-in-the-2024-election-for-a-job-and-is-looking-at-exit-strategies-from-the-raceAlert – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reached out to a candidate in the 2024 election for a job and is looking at exit strategies from the race

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. tried to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss a Cabinet job in exchange for dropping out of the 2024 race.

The Washington Post cited Kennedy campaign sources and reported Wednesday on Kennedy’s entreaties to the Democratic nominee.

It’s clear that Kennedy has been looking for an exit ramp from his campaign – but the Democrats aren’t interested.

‘No one has any intention of negotiating with a MAGA-funded fringe candidate who has sought out a job with Donald Trump in exchange for an endorsement,’ Democratic National Committee spokesman Matt Corridoni told DailyMail.com.

Kennedy was in touch with Trump directly after the July 13 assassination attempt.

RFK Jr.’s son, Robert F. Kennedy III, leaked video of the conversation.

Trump is heard trying to coax RFK Jr. to join his team, suggesting the independent candidate and vaccine skeptic could do something with immunization in a second Trump administration.

‘And we’re going to win, we’re way ahead of the guy,’ Trump said of President Joe Biden, who was still in the race at that time.

Kennedy is heard saying, ‘yeah,’ in agreement.

While conversations with Trump were ongoing, Kennedy scrapped two appearances on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention.

He was supposed to speak virtually at the CNN/Politico Grill and meet with Wisconsin farmers in nearby Madison.

Instead he was spotted at two Milwaukee gyms, DailyMail.com reported.

As next week’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago approaches, the Kennedy campaign again announced counter-programming.

The independent candidate will appear at a ‘Restorative Justice Peace Circle’ on Sunday night, on the eve of the four-day convention’s kick-off.

The event includes several leaders of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.

And then on Monday, Kennedy will headline a ‘Peace & Restoration’ town hall, where criminal justice will be discussed.

Kennedy is currently polling at 5.6 percent, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average, after previously polling in the low double-digits.
