The Chase star Anne Hegerty has said there are no downsides to money and fame and declared that she ‘loves being rich’ as she lifted the lid on life as The Governess.
The professional quizzer, 66, has appeared as the very strict and stern Governess on the ITV game show since 2010, going on to appear on I’m A Celeb in 2018.
Discussing life in the limelight with Bella magazine, Anne said there are ‘no downsides’ to being rich. ‘I like being famous,’ she added.
Speaking of her recent weight loss, which Anne attributed to her riches, she said: ‘I find I’m not as hungry these days – it’s to do with being rich – It’s brilliant, I love being rich.’
The TV personality also offered some insight into her dating life as when asked if she had ever used dating apps, quipped: ‘No, because I’m afraid I might end up having to have a boyfriend.’

Anne said she struggles to hold down relationships, admitting her longest has been just four months.
She said she enjoys being alone and admitted to feeling ‘a bit pressured’ in relationships.
And fans of The Chase can rest easy, as Anne revealed she has no plans to leave the game show.
She recalled a conversation with Coronation Street actress Helen Worth at Pride of Manchester Awards where she told the soap star she would never become that person who ‘left a really successful reality show because they thought they could do better, and then to never be heard from again’.
Anne’s career has only grown since her time as The Governess on the game show, after she revealed in April that she has been cast in a short film.
She told Daily Star: ‘I’ve been asked to be in the film and I’ve decided to go for it. We’re going to be making that in the next few months.
‘I don’t think I’ll be nervous. It’s not in front of an audience. If it was, I’d be thinking, “Oh my God am I going to forget my lines?”
‘But because there won’t be an audience watching, I’m not worried.’

Anne, who has appeared on the ITV show since 2010, also revealed whether her new role would mean she was leaving the series.
Telling the publication: ‘I don’t have any plans to retire. [The Chase is] the little workhorse that makes everything else possible, and I love doing it.
‘It’s the best job I’ve ever had, so I’m happy to keep going as long as they want me for’.
Anne previously revealed she opted out of appearing the latest series of Dancing On Ice in order to prioritise her role in Chesterfield pantomime Aladdin.
Talking to The Mirror last year she explained: ‘I did try out for Dancing on Ice because I have a strong desire to master ice skating.
‘However, scheduling conflicts with the pantomime arose, and the allure of being on stage, engaging with an audience, acting, singing, and injecting humour… that experience held significant value for me.

‘I would have just ended up being towed around by a penguin and never really getting to skate. That would have been quite disheartening.’
She has previously opened up on how she copes with Autism and last year revealed it’s had a tool on her finding love.
In her spin-off series The Chasers Road Trip, the presenter revealed the longest relationship she had had was four months and ended it because she ‘wasn’t good’ at providing him with the right amount of attention.
She went on to joke that she is ‘basically a Cyborg’ after learning that she has an emotional intelligence level of just 1%.
