ITV are reportedly on the look out for senior citizens to star in a brand new show.

It is thought Date My Nan – a working title – will follow the journey of the single OAPs as they search for a love, with the help of a grandchild, friend or neighbour.

Bosses are said to have been inspired by the success of last year’s middle-aged love search, My Mum Your Dad.

The dating programme, hosted by Davina McCall, was a huge success when it took to screens in September of last year as a group of mature single parents sought to find love with the help of their children.

A source told The Sun: ‘Producers know the gentle, emotional scenes as the older daters get ready with their loved one will lead to genuinely lovely, heartwarming content.

‘It doesn’t matter whether we are relaxing indoors or at a swanky restaurant, I love spending time with Janey, and she looks great in anything she wears!’

When asked about finding love again later on in life, Roger said: ‘Midlife dating can be hard, trying to juggle spending time with our children and getting in some alone time, but it really is important to get some one-to-one time together and reconnect’.

Janey added: ‘I am so excited for a relaxing night in with Roger. We are joined at the hip nowadays, and love spending time together, so we’ll make sure this evening is extra special.’
