alert-–-breathtaking-oregon-‘sea-ranch’-that-sits-on-25-acres-of-pristine-pacific-oceanfront-land-sells-for-huge-reduction-after-originally-listing-for-$10-millionAlert – Breathtaking Oregon ‘sea ranch’ that sits on 25 acres of pristine Pacific oceanfront land sells for huge reduction after originally listing for $10 million

After failing to land a buyer for $10 million, a stunning Oregon mansion that overlooks the Pacific Ocean sold for a fraction of its asking price.

Standing on 25 acres of pristine coastland, the Nestucca Sea Ranch went on auction with Sotheby’s earlier this month, and eventually sold for $3.08 million – a dramatically slashed price tag.

Hidden away in the unincorporated community of Cloverdale, the 7,000-square-foot mansion was advertised as ‘an iconic coastal estate and oasis’ by broker Brian Ladd.

The property, which features staggering views of the Pacific, as well as the Nestucca River and bay, was auctioned without a minimum starting bid.

On May 3rd, the auction’s opening day, a bid of $2.5 million was placed. By the time the bidding window closed on May 16, the price had climbed to $3.08 million.

Built in 1996, the Nestucca Sea Ranch is a traditional-style home that boasts a sumptuous circular staircase, ornate mahogany millwork and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Most of the house is painted an airy white color, which lends the property a certain tranquility.

Hardwood floors, whose burnished surfaces gleam, are present throughout the estate.

Grandfather clocks and other antique furniture crowd the floors and imbue the rooms with a mature charm.

In the chef’s kitchen, there’s banquette seating as well as wine storage.

There are dark marble countertops, stainless-steel kitchen appliances, and an island on which to prepare meals.

In the estate’s main dining room, there are two transparent walls. A tasteful chandelier hangs over the table.

Tall windows will offer future residents picturesque views of the ocean while they dine.

The Nestucca Sea Ranch also features a beetling three-story tower that offers residents a 360-degree view of the property.

The home is dominated by windows, each of which frames breathtaking views of the Pacific. Even the bathroom features several windows at the foot of the bathtub.

Future owners will be able to gaze out at the lovely scene as they soak.

In the study, a desk is pushed up before a large window, which provides the occupant with plenty of natural light.

Throughout the house, there are long corridors, whose walls are decorated with oil painting, and down which one can walk and remark on the beauty of the property.

The sun room boasts floor-to-ceiling book shelves and a working fireplace.

In keeping with the spirit of the house, the sun room has tall windows through which residents can look out at the serene waters of the Pacific.

Along the front of the estate runs a portico, under which people can rest and relax and enjoy the balmy Oregon weather.

Outside, there is a brick patio that is the perfect place to unwind or entertain.

The main residence boasts four bedrooms, with the main suite being located on the second floor.

The principal bedroom has a working fireplace, large windows looking out on the ocean, and exquisite crown molding.

A large ceiling fan hangs in a recess in the ceiling, promising to cool down any overheated resident.

Another nice detail is that the door handles throughout the estate are shaped like Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea.

A caretaker’s home is located above the property’s three-car garage.

There is also a fisherman’s cottage, which has private access to the river.

‘Fish for wild salmon and steelhead,’ Brian Ladd, the realtor, told Oregon Live.

‘Try your hand at crabbing along the shore.’
