Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani had his conservative talk radio show cancelled after repeatedly questioning the results of the 2020 election.

The station’s billionaire owner, John Catsimatidis, abruptly ended the run over Giuliani’s election claims.

‘John had warned him a few times about doing that and finally he just kind of crossed the line,’ Catsimatidis producer Matt Wanning told DailyMail.com.

Asked about potential legal exposure from Giuliani’s claims, in particular Dominion Voting Systems, he responded: ‘Oh yeah. It’s been floating around for a while.’ He wasn’t aware if the station had specifically received a warning letter from the voting machine company, which reached a $787 million settlement with Fox News in 2023.

A Dominion spokesman said he didn’t have anything on the subject. DailyMail.com has reached out to Giuliani for comment.

Giuliani blasted the move in a statement to DailyMail.com, indicating that he did not learn of his suspension directly.

‘I’m learning from a leak to the New York Times that I’m being fired by John Catsimatidis and WABC because I refused to comply with their overly broad directive stating, word-for-word, that I’m, “prohibited from engaging in conversations relating to the 2020 Presidential Election,”” he humed.

‘This directive is a clear violation of free speech and I’ll have much more to say about this on my 8:00 pm ET livestream which you can watch on any of my social media platforms, including on X, Facebook or YouTube,’ he said, plugging his own digital program.

The WABC show provides a financial lifetime for Giuliani, who faces a $148 million legal judgement after a jury found he defamed two Georgia election workers. Giuliani is appealing.

He earned a percentage of ad royalties from the program. His most recent program featured extended musings about Donald Trump’s Stormy Daniels trial but not many ads. One was from an area lawyer. It wasn’t clear how much money Giuliani was able to make from hosting the show.

He also hosts his own Common Sense podcast, which he live streams from Florida.

Catsimatidis, owner of the supermarket chain Gristedes, is a player in New York politics and was the runner up for his party’s mayoral nomination in 2013. But he parts ways with former New Yorker Donald Trump when it comes to his and Giuliani’s claims of massive election fraud.

‘He just dismisses it. He doesn’t buy into the whole thing,’ said Manning.

Catsimatidis told the New York Times he had delivered the warnings to Giuliani via text.

‘We’re not going to talk about fallacies of the November 2020 election,’ he told the paper. ‘We warned him once. We warned him twice. And I get a text from him last night, and I get a text from him this morning that he refuses not to talk about it.’

‘So, he left me no option. I suspended him,’ he said.

Giuliani was indicted along with Trump and other alleged coconspirators in Georgia.

On his last radio show, he predicted the classified documents case against Trump would be dismissed, and called for getting special counsel Jack Smith on trial. ‘I’m looking forward to that should Trump win that there’ll be an investigation of him,’ he said.
