There are multiple road closures as firefighters have been working for hours to extinguish the flames.

The Red Cross set up an area at a nearby Children’s Lab School to help any of the displaced families.

Some residents of the building who are out-of-town went to X, formerly Twitter to ask if the pets in the building have been evacuated.

‘We’re out of town and are worried sick about our cats,’ they wrote. ‘We can see our windows on the top floor have been busted. Have they evacuated pets?’
