It’s not every day that two Hollywood stars walk into an unassuming Cornish café, but that’s exactly what happened when Zendaya and boyfriend Tom Holland visited England’s south-west coast on Tuesday.

The pair stunned locals in picturesque Par, where Michelin star cuisine was overlooked in favour of a fry-up at the rock n’ roll themed Ramshackle Rosie cafeteria.

American actress Zendaya, 28 – best known for her roles in HBO series Euphoria and the blockbuster Dune film franchise – stayed true to her roots by ordering pancakes with maple syrup.

But British star Tom, also 28 and a Hollywood star thanks to his role as Spider Man, went for the ‘Zeppelin’ fry-up – named after veteran rock band Led Zeppelin.

‘They were just like a regular couple and apparently went to Asda after,’ café owner Helen Woodward told Cornwall Live.

‘They came in and I was serving a couple of other customers so I told them to take a seat and they went to sit down.

‘I’ve only got a small café and I’ve got one big table that I can get about five people at and they went and sat there so I asked if they minded moving to a smaller table, in case I got a group come in.

‘Then this other couple said to me “they are famous you know”, and I asked who they were and they told me he was Spider-Man.’

She added: ‘They were absolutely lovely. They were just a really nice couple. It was just them two.’

Woodward, who admitted to having ‘no idea’ who the A-list couple were, said they likely chose Par’s Ramshackle Rosie as a lunch spot because it’s ‘a bit out of the way.’

‘They were just like a regular couple,’ she said. ‘I was really busy so I didn’t even get a chance to talk to them but I wouldn’t have anyway. They just came in for breakfast and they probably don’t want to be bothered.

‘I just gave them their breakfast and left them alone. They left a fiver tip though.’

Par local Rob Sheldon revealed he chatted with ‘down to earth’ star Tom, who told him they were calling into a nearby supermarket after finishing their breakfast.

‘He spoke to us about my dog and stroked him,’ he told ITV West Country. ‘We gave them no acknowledgement that we knew who they were.

‘Then after they left I said to the owner, “you know that was Spider-Man, right?”‘

He added: ‘It was a bit surreal, they seemed very down to earth though and he said after breakfast they would go to Asda, which he compared to the American Target.

‘To be fair though, it’s an awesome café.’

Zendaya was previously spotted enjoying an al fresco lunch in Notting Hill without long-term boyfriend Holland.

The pair met on the set of Spider-Man in 2016 and have been an item since 2021. They share a £2.6 million home in Richmond near to where Holland, 28, was brought up.

Zendaya, a Hollywood veteran from the age of 14, apparently prefers a stroll in Richmond Park or along the Thames to walking the red carpet in LA in a designer gown.

The couple have also been spotted quietly enjoying date nights at nearby pub The Norbiton, where they can be seen sharing stone-fired pizza, and shopping without fanfare in their local supermarket.

One Richmond resident told The Mail on Sunday: ‘We see them around the whole time. Tom’s such a family man so he’s stayed around the area and she loves it apparently.

‘Anyone who’s served them is the first to tell you about it and I’ve always heard they’re really polite and considerate. She apparently loves it here because no one asks her for pictures.

‘But we all have this unsaid rule to sort of leave them alone. You might see them in Waitrose occasionally and give them a nod but nothing more.’

One person said: ‘It’s sort of become a game among us locals: who can spot the silver Porsche because that is usually how we look out for Tom and Zendaya.’
