alert-–-you’ve-been-decorating-your-christmas-tree-all-wrong!-influencer-causes-a-sensation-by-claiming-most-people-don’t-know-the-correct-way-to-hang-baublesAlert – You’ve been decorating your Christmas tree all wrong! Influencer causes a sensation by claiming most people don’t know the correct way to hang baubles

A woman has sent TikTok into meltdown by demonstrating the ‘correct’ way to hang Christmas tree baubles – claiming the vast majority of people have been doing it wrong.

The 11-second clip was shared by a female TikToker from Florida, who uses the handle @sunshinethedoggo – and it swiftly received over 42,000 likes as well as hundreds of comments.

Rather than hanging baubles singly, the ornament hack involves tying them into clusters of four or five before attaching to the Christmas tree.

The woman recommends using a pipe cleaner or flexible wire to connect baubles of varying sizes, claiming ‘it looks so much better’ hanging from the branches.

Her new technique has caused a stir amongst viewers. While one praised the method by writing: ‘This is BRILLIANT!!!’, another individual explained: ‘My tree is full of memories. Ornaments from vacations, or special occasions. It’s not about aesthetics.’

The TikTok video, entitled Ornament Hack For Your Christmas Tree, opens with the words ‘Common Mistakes’.

The advice ‘Don’t hang your ornaments like this’ then appears along with an image of a single iridescent bauble hanging from a tree.

‘Do this instead: Group several ornaments on a piece of pipe cleaner,’ it continues, as the decorator strings the baubles together to create a cluster.

The woman places the largest ornament in the centre, with smaller ones either side, incorporating white, silver and gold hues.

She then secures the loop by tying the pipe cleaner at the top before positioning it on a tree branch, claiming ‘it looks so much better’.

The finished product appears to create a fuller appearance on the Christmas tree.

Numerous viewers flocked to praise the woman for sharing the hack, with one commenting: ‘This is BRILLIANT!!!’

A second agreed, penning: ‘Very clever idea.’

While another individual said: ‘I’m going to try this! Looks beautiful.’

Someone else wrote: ‘Such a game changer.’

A further person agreed, saying: ‘Very nice! That’s how I do mine as well. I like a really full tree’

However, others were less impressed and preferred a traditional method of tree decorating.

One simply wrote: ‘No thanks.’

Another explained: ‘My tree is full of memories. Ornaments from vacations, or special occasions. It’s not about aesthetics.’

Meanwhile, one person quipped: ‘Pipe cleaner? Let me just go to the 50s’.

And someone else added: ‘Who needs that when you have a toddler that wanted to decorate it himself so it is already all bunched.’

One viewer, who wished she had watched the video sooner, admitted: ‘I put up my tree yesterday otherwise I would have done this’.
