He can normally be found sunning himself on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza, with its glorious hot summers and clear blue skies.
But musician James Blunt said he’s tired of the island’s legendary night life and has instead decided to tackle the Munros of Scotland.
Battling against the intense winds and wet conditions at the summit of one, the You’re Beautiful singer took to social media to show fans the torrid weather.
In the clip, in which he is barely heard because of the strong winds, the 51-year-old said: ‘I’ve recently tired of night life in Ibiza, so I’ve come to check out what it’s like in other places.
‘This, folks, is summer in Scotland.’
As he climbs to the summit of the hill he struggles to hold the phone used to record the footage amid the treacherous conditions, ones which are a far cry from those at his home in Ibiza.
Conditions this week have been around 27C, complemented by little more than a gentle breeze. And, unlike in Scotland, there has been no rain to dampen spirits.
Singer-songwriter Blunt has split his time between the UK and Ibiza since 2006 when he bought a £1.7 million home there.
Blunt’s Scottish mountain adventure comes after he popped in in Glasgow last month.
The You’re Beautiful singer left busker Francis Bond stunned after he stumbled across Blunt on the Govan-Partick Bridge.
Bond later posted a clip on social media of the moment.
In the viral video, he said: ‘Hey, guess what? I met James Blunt.’
After that, the singer could be heard replying: ‘How are you doing?’
However, the excited busker said: ‘I can’t believe it, man. James, can you sing You’re Beautiful.’
Blunt said: ‘You can.’
Bond then sang the song himself, impressing the English singer-songwriter.
The clip quickly amassed over 100,000 views and almost 7000 likes on social media.
