A woman killed in a two-vehicle crash has been identified as a young mother.
Sarah White died after her Suzuki SUV hit a Hyundai SUV on the New England Highway, about 40km north of Armidale, in northern NSW, at about 10.30am on Friday.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 20-year-old woman, and a six-month-old baby were taken to Armidale Hospital with minor injuries.
Ms White’s devastated sister, Kayla, shared a tribute on Sunday and thanked her community for supporting their family.
‘Our smiles aren’t quite the same anymore but the love we feel is. If only we could wake from this terrible dream,’ Kayla wrote.
‘The past couple of days have been the hardest days of our lives.
‘I would just like to say thank you for all the messages for the food for the love and support that we have received we see your messages and we appreciate them all.
‘We won’t let you down Sis and we know Nan has you tight in her arms.
‘Love you now and always.’
Kayla shared an photograph of Ms White posing with her parents and sister on a rural road.
Loved ones shared their condolences with many sharing touching messages of support.
‘So shocked and sad to hear of a beautiful sole [sic] taken,’ one wrote.
Another added: ‘These photos were always special but now they hold so much more meaning.’
Officers attached to the New England Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
