Suspected Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray’s name has been blocked from X’s search function in the wake of the massacre.
Users attempting to look for the 14-year-old’s name on the social media site are being met with an error message which reads, ‘Something went wrong. Try reloading’.
A message at the bottom of the screen adds: ‘Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault.’
It is unclear at this time if the action is deliberate or a glitch.
Elon Musk’s platform has previously blocked users from searching Taylor Swift’s name in a bid to clamp down on sexually explicit deepfakes of the star. He has yet to comment on the situation.
Colt is the main suspect in Wednesday’s mass shooting, which claimed the lives of four people.
Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 and teachers Christina Irimie, 53, and Richard Aspinwall, 39, were named as the victims.
