A woman is asking Reddit users if she’s an a**hole for calling out her cheating brother-in-law during a party held at her house on February 17.
The original poster (OP) created a post this morning and wrote that her in-laws ‘are currently furious’ that she hurt her brother-in-law’s feelings at the party.
She wrote that her 38-year-old brother-in-law, whom she called Chris, was hinting at her to introduce him to women, but the OP refused.
‘Chris has been single for almost three years and he has been having a hard time meeting women,’ the OP wrote.
Before this, Chris had a history of cheating on the multiple women he was in relationships: his ex-wife, who was dying of pancreatic cancer, and his mistresses.

Chris had a history of cheating on the multiple women he was in relationships: his ex-wife, who was dying of pancreatic cancer, and his mistresses
The party last Saturday began on a low note for Chris, who had been flirting with the OP’s friend, whom she referred to as Grace, 38.
According to the protective sister-in-law, Grace was not interested in Chris ‘due to his inability to be faithful’ and that she wasn’t physically attracted to him.
Chris could not get the hint about Grace’s disinterest, and after Grace told him that ‘his physical ugliness is only surpassed by the ugliness of his character,’ he left the party.
The OP wrote that Grace ‘verbally tore him apart’ and discussed Chris’ infidelity toward his ex-wife.
‘Grace reminded him that he cheated and divorced his late ex-wife “Lily” while she was battling cancer and that he then got dumped by the mistress for being a cheater as he continued to cheat on her,’ the OP wrote.
‘Grace told him that he wasn’t a man of any significant value other than the few coins he had in the bank and that there’s no way in hell she’d entertain his delusions of sexual grandeur and beauty.’
The sister-in-law’s aggravated friend then told him that he should consider ‘some cosmetic work’ and to ‘start praying for divine intervention to fix his rotten soul.’
The OP’s in-laws and Chris are not thrilled that she told her friends about his actions and that her girlfriends perceive him as ‘a terrible person.’

Grace ‘verbally tore’ Chris apart for what he did to his late wife. According to the OP, Chris verbally and emotionally abused Lily during her cancer battle and throughout their divorce
‘I told them he was unfortunately a terrible person and people would’ve always found out what happened between him and the late, great Lily,’ she wrote.
Besides Chris and the in-laws, she revealed that a female co-worker was also unhappy with her decision to discuss her brother-in-law’s actions.
‘She said I was cruel for having told my friend group about what happened between Chris and his ex-wife because Chris had grown a lot in the past two years and didn’t need to be known for the worst thing he has ever done,’ the OP wrote.
The work colleague, whom she called Natasha in the post, is currently dating one of Chris’s friends.
After only telling six individuals the whole story, the OP is wondering if she was right to discuss Chris and his failed relationships.
More than 1,000 Reddit users have commented on the post and many of them wrote that the OP is not the a**hole (NTA).
Reddit users have been replying to the post and letting the OP know that they believe she is not the a**hole in this situation
One commenter referred to the Reddit post as ‘a public service announcement,’ and some users have credited the OP for being a good friend.
‘NTA sounds like you did good and protected your friends, he can go somewhere else,’ one user commented.
‘It’s like a job what if you introduce a friend and recommend them for the job, your reputation is on the line then and same here your friends would never look at you the same if you recommended a cheater to them in any shape or form.’
Others have shown their love for Grace, and one user even called Chris ‘a warty toad.’
‘I love Grace already! Chris isn’t in a position to complain about gossip, since he went crying to his parents,’ a person commented.
‘But in the future, you should probably not invite him to functions where he might hit on your female guests and ruin their evening. NTA.’
