A woman has died and four people have been raced to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in the Cotswolds.
The collision occurred on the A436 near Notgrove, on a road between Andoversford and Bourton-on-the-Water at around 6.40pm on Thursday.
Emergency responders, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene, however, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four people were also been hospitalised, with three having suffered suspected serious injuries. The fourth was taken to hospital by paramedics to be checked over.
Gloucestershire Constabulary officers are currently at the site, with the area closed off to the public while a probe into the collision takes place.
The closures are expected to stay in place overnight.
A force spokesperson said: ‘A woman has died and four people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in the Cotswolds.
‘The incident happened at around 6.40pm today (Thursday) on the A436 near Notgrove, a road between Andoversford and Bourton-on-the-Water.
‘Emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
‘Four people have been taken to hospital by paramedics. Three of them have suspected serious injuries while the fourth has been taken to hospital to be checked over.’
