Fans have flocked to social media to question what happened to Aussie TV star James Sherry after he disappeared from the spotlight.
Viewers began demanding an update after a throwback clip of the 57-year-old back in the mid-90s recently resurfaced online.
In the bizarre excerpt, Sherry can be seen grilling a contestant on the kids game show A*mazing.
James hosted the Channel Seven hit for four years between 1994 and 1998.
During the clip, James appears to be slightly flummoxed after hearing an unexpected answer from a youngster named Adam with Czech heritage.
‘Do you experience different cultural stuff at home because [you’re from a Czech] background?’ James asked.

‘Yeah,’ said Adam before continuing: ‘At Easter we get to hit girls…we whip girls and pour water over them.’
A clearly rattled James then joked: ‘I think we’re going to move on very quickly from there…I’m a bit thrown by that.’
Fans were quick to post their responses to the weird throwback segment.
‘Holy f***!’ wrote one surprised user on the Instagram share.
‘Poor kid only just realised that isn’t normal,’ added another.
However, there were some fans who were able to shed some light on the contestants answer.
‘The Czech Republic has a rather unusual tradition on Easter Monday,’ explained one viewer.
‘Boys get willow branches, braid them together into whips and decorate them with ribbons to whip girls with for luck and fertility.’

Remember him? Nineties TV star looks unrecognisable as he resurfaces on ABC's Hard Quiz… and gets roasted by host Tom Gleeson over his career
‘The word for this whip in Czech is pomlázka, which has also become the name of the tradition itself.’
It comes after James last resurfaced on the ABC’s Hard Quiz as a contestant in 2020.
Looking hardly recognisable from his days as a dashing star of TV, James was questioned by comedian and host Tom Gleeson, who made several jokes about how his career fizzled out in the early 2000s.
‘You’re a TV presenter, but I haven’t heard of you,’ Tom joked in his introduction.
‘What are you on? Channel 31?’
James said he used to host game show A*mazing from 1994 to 1998, and joked that he’d like to see how Tom would manage in a similar live format.
‘Did you want to learn?’ Tom shot back.
Tom then teased James about his Logie invites ‘drying up’, before adding: ‘It’s a bit awkward. You do know there’s a celebrity version of Hard Quiz and you’re not on it!’
