All of the returned items have been evaluated by company employees to make sure they are in good condition, work properly, and are not missing any accessories.

The products that were examined by employees were graded on a scale of 1-20 for quality process, and divided into one of five categories: Renewed, Like New, Very Good, Good, and Acceptable.

Renewed Amazon Warehouse products are brand new and possibly unopened items that have zero damage.

They automatically come with a 90-day warranty, so people can get a refund or replacement if they want.

A Like New product is in perfect working condition with minor package damage, perfect for someone looking to buy an almost unused item for a great price.

The Very Good items are also in excellent condition, but may have been sent to the Amazon warehouse in ripped or dented packaging by the original owner.

Good items in the Amazon Warehouse department are products that aren’t perfect and were used multiple times, but will still work efficiently.

The items which have been returned to the e-commerce website are resold through Amazon Warehouse via four categories: Like New, Very Good, Good, and Acceptable

Acceptable Amazon Warehouse items do work, but will likely include a lot of scratches, dents, and may even be missing accessories or product instructions.

Whatever quality the product is rated, the packaging may be close to perfect since employees repackage most items that were sent to the Amazon warehouse in damaged boxes.

Lexie Sachs, Textiles Director at the Good Housekeeping Institute, said shoppers should ‘keep an eye out for’ first-come, first-served deals on Amazon Warehouse that can be gone in the blink of an eye.

Shoppers who want to make sure that the Amazon Warehouse department is legitimate should make a purchase when the item is labeled: fulfilled by Amazon.

‘Knowing it’s fulfilled by Amazon, I know it’s legitimate and I can easily resolve any issues if they come up,’ Sachs told Good Housekeeping via WISN.

‘I don’t think I’d feel safe if it was a third-party seller that I had to deal with separately if there was an issue.’
