Video has emerged of a disgusting moment in the Colorado Avalanche broadcast booth.
During a game several weeks ago, color commentator Mark Rycroft took a drink of what he believed to be his coffee cup. However, he made a horrendous mistake.
The drink Rycroft picked up ended up not being water, tea or coffee but instead was the cup play-by-play commentator Marc Moser was using to spit into after chewing tobacco.
Rycroft immediately realized his mistake after taking the sip and quickly attempted to rinse the taste of discarded tobacco out of his mouth with the other containers of liquid he had within arm’s reach.
Moser then proceeded to pick up a tissue and whip the lid off his tobacco cup after it had mistakenly been sipped from.

Both Moser and Rycroft were able to keep broadcasting throughout the ordeal which was a testament to both men’s level of professionalism.
Fellow broadcaster Vic Lombardi posted the video on social media.
He commented: ‘This video has been under lock and key for several weeks. But it’s time. As a form of penance for @RadioMoser, we finally release the video of @RycroftMark taking a swig from Moser’s chew spitter DURING an Avalanche game.
‘Enjoy. And Merry Christmas.’
Rycroft played for the Avalanche in the 2006-07 season and joined the commentary team in 2018.
Despite the mishap, it’s been a fun season for the Avalanche commentary duo.
The team is currently tied for first in the Central Division with 42 points.
