Twas the day before Christmas, and all across the internet, MAGA fans were resurfacing a video of President-elect Donald Trump discussing the existence of Santa with a seven-year-old.

The video of the 78-year-old at the White House on Christmas Eve six years ago went viral after the then-president questioned whether kids still believe in Santa.

The video was captured in 2018 during his first term as the 45th president and first lady Melania were taking phone calls from children who had called the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to track Santa.

In one memorable call, Trump had a chat with a little girl named Collman Lloyd in which he raised the question about when kids stop believing in Santa.

‘Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at seven it’s marginal, right?’ Trump asked Collman.

Now, as the Trumps prepare to reenter the White House next year, his fans have been sharing the video on social media from his first term.

In the video, the Republican president and then first lady are seated between two Christmas trees and decorations in the State Dining Room of the White House in front of a roaring fire.

After Trump asked the question, Collman’s response was inaudible on camera, but Trump laughed and smiled.

‘Well, honey, happy Christmas, and you just take care of yourself and say hello to your family, OK? Say hello to everybody,’ Trump then said.

The Post and Courier tracked down the seven-year-old caller in South Carolina, and she told the newspaper she still believes in Santa.

A video of her side of the call with Trump showed her saying ‘yes, sir’ in response to the then-president asking whether she still believed in Santa.

Collman told the paper she was ‘shocked’ to have an exchange with the president.

The Trump Christmas Eve phone calls with children could perhaps continue in his second term.

Melania Trump shared on social media at the time that helping children track Santa was becoming one of her favorite traditions.

While Trump supporters viewed the video as an endearing moment, critics questioned how the then-president could somehow ruin a call to a child by questioning Santa ahead of Christmas.
