French pole vaulting sensation Anthony Ammirati appeared to poke fun at his viral Olympics moment, after a certain appendage prevented him from medaling at Paris 2024.
The 21-year-old athlete was seen making light of the situation in a since-deleted TikTok video, a couple of days after his manhood clipped the crossbar during his semifinal.
‘POV: you create more buzz for your package than for your performances,’ the video’s caption read, according to a Google translation from French to English.
It is unclear who originally posted the clip, as Ammirati does not appear to have an account on the video sharing platform.
The Frenchman was eating in what looked like a cafeteria in the Olympic Village, as he stared blankly at the camera.

Ammirati looked set to clear 5.70m until his body part denied him during his third attempt on Saturday, leaving viewers in hysterics.
‘It’s a big disappointment,’ Ammirati told the French Athletics Federation after the viral moment.
‘I’m a bit gutted, because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70 m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session,’ he added.
‘I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault.’
He continued, ‘The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress.
‘As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there.’
Fans were quick to react to Ammirati’s remarkable gaffe.
