A Victoria’s Secret model and her real estate broker husband are at war with a ritzy members-only club within their celebrity enclave.
Karolina Kurkova and her husband Archie Drury are suing the Fisher Island Club – renowned for its exclusivity – for wrongfully suspending and ultimately expelling them from the club in January.
Drury was accused of repeated instances of misconduct, including stealing another member’s white Range Rover in an incident he described as an innocent mix-up.
While Drury accepted he did take another member’s Range Rover from a parking garage to an external lot, he said it was simply a mistake and that he got out of the car once he realized he had taken the wrong white vehicle.
The 40-year-old blonde model owns six properties on Fisher Island, off the coast of Miami and considered one of the United States’ most exclusive zip codes. One of those condos has now hit the market for $6.9million as the couple looks to offload it.
Residents of the island, which can only be reached via boat or helicopter, have included Oprah Winfrey and Julia Roberts.
The couple had been living on the island since 2013, and much of residents’ social lives revolve around the members-only club.
Most residents on the island are members of the club, which boasts private beaches with sand imported from the Bahamas, two marinas, a golf course, a spa, beach club and several restaurants.

According to the lawsuit, the board’s decision to expel the couple from the club has harmed their reputation and caused them millions of dollars in damages.
They have been longtime members of the club since 2013, and claim issues only began to arise after Drury left his job as a real estate agent for Douglas Elliman on the island in December 2022.
The lawsuit states that Drury went on to launch his own brokerage firm and that two board members from his former company also sit on the board at Fisher Island Club.
The suit states this posed ‘significant conflicts of interest.’
Drury’s membership was initially suspended for six months in December 2023, citing two years worth of alleged inappropriate conduct.
In an email notifying him of the decision, staff cited the Range Rover incident, accusing him of stealing it from another member, acting inappropriately to a marina employee and giving the middle finger to another member of the club.
A separate incident allegedly took place in October 2023 in which Drury entered the marina office ‘screaming and visibly upset’ about the location that NFL star Tom Brady’s boat was being docked.
But Drury hit back in the suit, insisting that the Range Rover incident was an ‘innocent mistake’ in which he had taken the car from the parking garage to an external parking lot when he realized he was in the wrong white Range Rover.

Drury and Kurkova had two memberships, which cost $250,000 each up front and annual dues of about $40,000
The car’s owner did not press charges.
Then in November 2024 the couple were both accused of trying to defraud the club by designating a membership to one of the tenants in their investment properties.
The couple states that the club’s bylaws allow residents who own two or more units on the island to do so.
Even still, Kurkova and her family were expelled from the club following an investigation into the incident.
The final expulsion came in January, and the couple are now asking the court to grant them a jury trial.
Through the lawsuit, Drury states that the ‘newly minted club board decided they did not want [him] as a club member.
Drury and Kurkova had two memberships, which cost $250,000 each up front and annual dues of about $40,000.
As a result of the suspension and eventual expulsion, Drury claimed he was unable to access his boat – which was lawfully docked in the marina – for almost a year.

Melanie Bonvicino, a spokesperson for Kurkova, told Business Insider: ‘Florida’s private clubs and HOAs operate without proper oversight, leaving property owners vulnerable to unfair governance and unchecked power.
‘We believe that the time for lawmakers to act is now by implementing meaningful reforms to address these issues.’
The Fisher Island Club ‘denies all of the allegations in the lawsuit as baseless.’
The club said it is ‘firm in the belief that the complaint is nothing more than disgruntled former members.
‘The Fisher Island Club looks forward to defending each of its challenged actions in detail in court filings as appropriate.’
