Queensland Police have launched an urgent Amber Alert to locate an eight-year-old girl who was abducted on the Sunshine Coast and may be at significant risk.
A man, known to the child, was seen taking the girl from Beach Road in Maroochydore and put her in a car before driving away about 10:45am on Thursday.
The girl is described as having sandy blonde hair and wearing black and white checkered shorts, a navy blue shirt and white sandals.
Queensland Police described the man as being in his 40s, Caucasian, with a shaved head, slim build, and wearing a dark shirt, black slides and boardshorts.
The vehicle is described as being a dark blue Toyota Hilux with a silver tray with the Queensland registration 156VBO.
They are believed to be in the Sunshine Coast area, including Noosa.
