alert-–-‘unusual’-warm-blast-to-hit-the-south-of-australia-–-as-the-north-braces-for-a-possible-cyclone-and-stormsAlert – ‘Unusual’ warm blast to hit the south of Australia – as the north braces for a possible CYCLONE and storms

Millions of Aussies have been warned to expect a warmer than average April while others are bracing for a wild weather from a possible cyclone off the coast.

Those in the country’s south are forecast to see temperatures between 5C and 10C warmer than average.

South ns will be worst hit this weekend with a top of 32C set to hit Adelaide on Saturday, followed by 33C on Sunday.

Victorians are also set to enjoy some of the heat before the winter cold begins to move through.

Temperatures in Melbourne are set to peak at 29C on Saturday and 30C on Sunday alongside mostly sunny skies.

Meanwhile, Tropical Low 29U is forming over the Arafura Sea, above the Northern Territory, and has a moderate chance of developing into a tropical cyclone from Friday.

‘While this system is expected to remain to the north of ‘s coastline over the coming week, a period of heavy rain and thunderstorms may affect the far north of the country as moist winds wrap around the system,’ Weatherzone meteorologist Felix Levesque said.

‘Rainfall amounts of 100-200mm are expected over parts of the Top End and Cape York Peninsula over the coming week.

‘By mid-next week, Tropical Low 29U, which could be Tropical Cyclone Errol, should be well northwest of WA.

‘While uncertainty becomes increasingly elevated, some computer models have the system potentially swinging back towards WA’s northwest over the late week period.’
