Shocking footage has emerged of a woman dressed in athleisure striking a staff member at a supermarket after he attempted to check her bag.
The incident occurred at the Silver Sands IGA in Mandurah, south of Perth, at about 2:20pm on Tuesday.
The woman, who was dressed in eshay-favoured gym wear, had attempted to leave the store through a blocked exit when she was asked by a male staff member to check her bag.
CCTV footage of the incident shows the worker grabbing the woman’s bag as she tries to leave the store.
The woman is then seen rushing back into the store and striking the man in the back of the head twice before yelling at him.

The pair continued to fight over the bag before another customer approached to try and de-escalate the situation.
The scuffle ended when two other staff members came to help their colleague, allowing the woman to take her bag and leave.
Mandurah Police are investigating the incident.
Police have urged anyone with information, including the woman’s identity, to contact Crime Stoppers.
