ABC comedy panel show Question Everything has been axed after four seasons at the network.
Launched in 2021, the show was billed as a fresh and funny antidote to fake news, and featured a panel of emerging comedians joined by hosts, creator Wil Anderson and comedian Jan Fran, to debunk misinformation, scams and fake news.
It was produced by CJZ, the same production company behind Anderson’s other ABC show, Gruen.
News of Question Everything’s cancellation was confirmed to Mumbrella this week, with executive producer Nick Murray expressing his sadness at the show’s demise.
‘The ABC has been wonderful in supporting locally developed and produced programs like Gruen and Question Everything,’ he said.
‘n shows and ideas are an endangered species now, so we appreciate the support of the ABC for original n programs.

‘We did an enormous amount of work training both on-air talent and new writers through our various training initiatives. We put 43 new performers and 27 new writers through the training and intern schemes on Question Everything.’
Murray only had positive words to say about co-hosts Anderson and Fran, saying they were ‘terrific to work with’, and that the team ‘had a lot of fun’ creating the show.
The departure adds to a growing list of high-profile cancellations in 2025, including Ten’s The Project, which aired its final episode in June, and ABC’s flagship debate program Q&A, which was farewelled by viewers in May.
For now, Anderson will continue hosting Gruen and is currently on a stand-up tour of the country.
Fran, meanwhile, recently launched a news enterprise called Ette Media alongside independent journalist Antoinette Lattouf, which focuses on promoting better media literacy.
Fran and Lattouf also co-host a podcast called We Used To Be Journos, which delves into media analysis from experienced insiders, offering insights into how the media works.
