Insiders reveal why 'superstitious' Donald Trump is 'getting the gang back together' with new campaign hires… as mystery grows over Corey Lewandowski's role

Veterans of Donald Trump’s campaigns are welcoming the sudden jolt of new staff hires including the return of Corey Lewandowski, saying it signals Trump can recapture some of the swagger and spontaneity of his successful 2016 run.

Trump announced a surprise move Thursday to bring on Corey Lewandowski, who he fired a month before the convention in 2016, while adding several former Trump campaign veterans to his existing staff.

Although it comes at a time when Kamala Harris has seized momentum in the polls and enjoyed a lengthy press ‘honeymoon,’ Trump campaign aides have consistently denied the move constitutes a shakeup. But Trump added intrigue about what he had in mind when he publicly referred to Lewandowski as his ‘personal envoy’ – a title signifying a wide-ranging and as yet undefined portfolio.

Former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski reveals the 'truth' about what's happening inside the Trump campaign as Donald brings in more staff

Donald Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski took to the airwaves Friday to reveal what is and is not changing now that he is being brought on board the campaign.

Lewandowski, who helmed Trump’s 2016 campaign and got fired weeks before the Republican convention, praised Trump’s current leadership team and said he had no plans to look at the books of the operation.

‘We are 80 days from this election and really the truth is people start voting much earlier than that,’ Lewandowski told Martha McCallum on Fox News.

Artist behind the iconic Obama 'Hope' poster creates a new one for Kamala Harris

Artist Sheparad Fairey, who created the iconic ‘Hope’ poster for President Obama before the 2008 election, created a new one for Kamala Harris.

The artist said in a statement that the poster he created for Harris is a ‘tool of grassroots activism for all to use non-commercially.’

He said he created it purely for a better future and was not paid for it nor will he receive any financial benefit from it.

Little Hunt graduated from high school this year.

Many members of the Biden family went to the University of Pennsylvania. Little Hunt’s big sister Natalie is a student there.

President Biden’s late son Beau, daughter Ashley, and granddaughters Naomi and Maisey are all Penn graduates.

The White House announced Friday morning a sudden update to the president’s schedule that added the Pennsylvania trip.

FBI responds to congressman saying body of Trump shooter is 'gone' and revealing 'disturbing fact' about probe

The FBI is pushing back after a Republican’s startling discovery that Donald Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks’ body had been quietly cremated.

Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., a member of Congress’ bipartisan task force reviewing the tragic July 13 assassination attempt, unveiled that Crooks’ body is ‘gone’ in an independent report released this week.

Higgins, a former police captain, wrote that he ’caused quite a stir’ when attempting to review Crooks’ corpse which ‘revealed a disturbing fact.’

It was at this point that he learned that the FBI had ‘released the body for cremation 10 days’ after the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

But the FBI denies the Republican’s insinuation that they are obstructing the probe, saying: ‘Any suggestion the FBI is interfering with congressional efforts to look into the attempted assassination which took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, is inaccurate and unfounded,’ an FBI spokesperson told DailyMail.com.

President Joe Biden headed off for Philadelphia Friday afternoon for the start of another weekend away from D.C. – but not before taking a quick call on the White House lawn.

The president left the White House before 4pm on Friday, then stopped himself just after walking by a group of reporters. After crossing a driveway on the South Lawn, Biden stopped to answer a quick call on his cell phone.

There were indications that the call could be on a family matter. It came before Biden headed north for a brief stop that only appeared on his schedule Friday morning.

When he was done, Biden jogged over to a group of people who had gathered to watch his departure on Marine One. It came hours after Biden gave an update on cease fire and hostage talks, saying the sides are ‘much closer than we’ve ever been.’ The president plans to spend the weekend at Camp David, on the eve of the Democratic convention in Chicago, where he is set to speak Monday.

Vice President Kamala Harris traveled to the swing state of North Carolina on Friday to give her first policy address as Democratic presidential nominee where she vowed to create an ‘opportunity economy’ by building up the middle class.

The vice president said when the economy is strong ‘America is strong’ and rolled out a series of policy proposals she would push for in her first 100 days in office if elected president.

But she ended up bungling the announcement of her ban on price gouging instead mispronouncing it as ‘price gauging.’

During her speech, Harris touted some of the policies advanced under the Biden administration and vowed to go further while setting a sharp contrast with her political opponent Donald Trump.

She claimed the proposals would provide relief for millions of families while reducing the federal deficit, but the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates her series of expanded tax credits, subsidies and support for homebuyers would increase the deficit by $1.7 trillion over a decade.

According to the campaign, any additional costs above the 2025 fiscal year Biden-Harris budget would be offset by increased taxes on corporations and high earners.

Trump campaign recruits Tulsi Gabbard for debate prep – but don't assume she is playing Kamala Harris

The Trump campaign has brought in Tulsi Gabbard, former Democratic congresswoman-turned-celebrity Trump supporter, to bolster its debate prep.

She was briefly in the running as Trump’s VP pick, and has remained close to his inner circle. They think her performance during a 2019 debate, when she took apart Kamala Harris when they were both running for president, offers a valuable lesson.

A Trump source said it would be wrong to assume that her status as a woman meant she would play Harris in rehearsals. ‘DJT doesn’t do formal debate prep like that.’

The New York Times was the first to report Gabbard’s role. And it was confirmed by Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt.

President Trump has proven to be one of the best debaters in political history as evidenced by his knockout blow to Joe Biden. He does not need traditional debate prep but will continue to meet with respected policy advisers and effective communicators like Tulsi Gabbard, who successfully dominated Kamala Harris on the debate stage in 2020

Here’s our story from 2019:

Melania Trump's finances revealed…

Melania Trump earned six figures for speaking to a Republican fundraiser earlier this year, part of the million dollars in income she earns.

Her compensation and investments were listed as part of Donald Trump’s latest financial disclosure report, which all presidential candidates are required to file.

The former first lady earns a substantial income from speaking fees, properties in New York and Slovenia that she rents and her non-fungible token (NFT) licensing agreement.

Among the revenue listed is over $237,000 for one speaking engagement – paid for by the Log Cabin Republicans – in April 2024.

Secret Service PULLS agents from Joe Biden's protection team to bolster Donald Trump's to allow campaigning former president to continue outdoor rallies after assassination attempt

The Secret Service is set to bolster Donald’s Trump’s security by pulling agents from Joe Biden’s protection team following the assassination attempt on the former president last month, it has been reported.

The new plan has been approved to allow Trump to continue campaigning at outdoor rallies after a gunman fired multiple shots at him on July 13.

The Secret Service will also use a bulletproof glass to shield Trump, as well as other technical security measures that are not normally been provided for presidential candidates in order to add additional layers of protection.

An unidentified Secret Service official was cited in the New York Times as saying the reassignment of members of a president’s team to a candidate is ‘unusual’.

But they added that the recent threat of violence against Trump and Biden’s reduced travel schedule made the move ‘necessary and feasible’.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has announced a replacement for disgraced Sen. Bob Menendez.

George Helmy, a former aide to Murphy and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, will take Menendez’s seat after he resigns on August 20.

Exclusive:Bush lawyer reveals what judge should do to keep Donald Trump OUT of prison on election night

Former President Donald Trump is hoping to push back his sentencing in the Stormy Daniels hush money case until after the November election, but there is the possibility if that does not happen, the ex-president could spend election night behind bars.

The Republican presidential nominee was convicted by a Manhattan jury of 34 counts of falsifying business records in May. Sentencing is scheduled for September 18, after it was delayed following a Supreme Court ruling.

Former George W. Bush Justice Department official John Yoo told DailyMail.com should that sentencing date stand, Judge Juan Merchan could send the ex-president to jail in the final stretch of the campaign.

‘Yes, the judge has the ability to order Trump jailed immediately upon sentence,’ Yoo said.

Trump: Top civilian honor 'better' because military recipients are wounded or 'dead'

Former President Donald Trump is in hot water for saying that the top civilian award is ‘better’ than the top military award because those recipients are often wounded or dead.

Donald Trump’s campaign announced that it is forming a transition team to be headed by former wrestling exec and Trump cabinet member Linda McMahon and billionaire businessman Howard Lutnick.

The announcement comes days after Lutnick, who heads Cantor Fitzgerald, hosted a Hamptons fundraiser that raised $15 million. McMahon ran the SBA and World Wrestling Entertainment, and now heads the America First Policy Institute, a pro-Trump think tank.

Two Trump family members scored roles as ‘honorary co-chairs’ of the enterprise: Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. The two brothers helped run the Trump Organization during Trump’s first term, while Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner served in the Trump White House.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie ran Trump’s 2016 transition, only to get pushed out after the election and replaced by Mike Pence. Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka served on the transition executive committee in 2016. McMahon declared herself ‘ready to serve’ in a Trump administration at a Politico event last month.

ABC News announced its presidential debate in September will take place in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center.

The event will be on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 9 pm.

Both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have agreed to be there. Trump also proposed a debate on Fox News on Sept. 4th but Harris has not agreed to that one, making it likely that ABC will hold the first debate between the two rivals for the presidency.

Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy does not appear to qualify for the debate.

ABC requires all participants to reach at least 15% support in four separate national polls of registered or likely voters that meet ABC News standards. Kennedy is polling around 5%.

David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate the debate.

President Joe Biden will spend this weekend in Camp David.

The president usually spends his weekends away from the White House but he tends to head to his Wilmington, Del., home or his beach house in Rehoboth.

This weekend he’ll spend time at the presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains.

Before heading to the countryside, Biden will sign a proclamation to designate the Springfield 1908 Race Riot National Monument.

The August 1908 race riot in Springfield, Illinois, left several people dead, hundreds injured and destroyed dozens of black-owned businesses and homes.

The riot fueled the formation of the influential civil rights organization the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 1909.

Exclusive:Top Minnesota lawmaker dishes on how Gov. Tim Walz is leading the state into 'economic disaster'

A top Minnesota Republican is ripping Gov. Tim Walz for crushing the state’s economy.

Walz, who recently was chosen as Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, made repeated blunders while working as governor trying to restore the state’s economy after the COVID pandemic, the House GOP Whip charged.

The North Star State has some of the highest tax rates in the country and Walz drove them even higher, putting the ‘state on a course to economic disaster,’ House Republican Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., exclusively told DailyMail.com.

‘Tim Walz does not have a budget bone in his body. He doesn’t understand how business works. He’s a school teacher, which is fine, but he’s never run anything in his life, and that shows when he became the CEO of the state of Minnesota.’

Exclusive:The untold story of how Nancy Pelosi forced Biden to quit with a brutal phone call and humiliating ultimatum that ruined 50 years of friendship… and has left Jill and Joe furious

The exact circumstances that led to President Joe Biden’s dramatic withdrawal from the 2024 election race have been the topic of frenzied conversation for weeks.

Ever since Biden tweeted his digitally signed letter announcing the decision on Sunday, June 21, the line from the White House has been clear: The president was not pushed. This was his choice alone.

Sympathetic insiders described a weekend of 'reflection' for the president – who had recently tested postive for COVID and was holed up in isolation with his wife Jill and a handful of trusted aides at the Biden family home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

On the Saturday night, and after weeks of insisting that he would run again, something ‘shifted’, the Biden insiders said. The president asked his closest advisors to begin drafting his letter. Suddenly, it was all over.

That much may be true. But these insiders have continually left out a crucial piece of the puzzle that explains why Biden’s thinking changed so rapidly and which the Mail can now exclusively reveal for the first time.
