President Donald Trump made a cryptic comment about his golf game over the weekend that left his MAGA fans wondering if he’ll ever tee up again.
He announced he won ‘probably my last’ championship at his Trump International Golf Club Palm Beach.
Trump is a renowned golfer who owns 11 golf courses in the United States, two in Scotland, one in Ireland, two in Indonesia, one in Oman, and one in the United Arab Emirates for a total of 18.
But, on Sunday, he indicated he might be hanging up his clubs.
‘I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the even. Such fun!,’ he wrote on his Truth Social account.

If Trump gave up golf, it would be a startling move.
The president is a regular player, rarely missing a weekend on the links. He drives his own golf cart and dons a red Make America Great Again cap while playing a round.
He did stop playing for a few months during the 2024 campaign after the Secret Service thwarted an assassination attempt at his Palm Beach course and he also took a break during the COVID pandemic.
His lifestyle is tied to his golf properties – in the winter he stays at Mar-a-Lago and plays at his Palm Beach club nearby and, on weekends in the summer, he’s at his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.

BREAKING NEWS
Trump makes shock admission after winning yet another golf championship at his own course
When he spends weekends at the White House, it’s normal for him to play 18 holes at his club in northern Virginia.
Since his inauguration on January 20th, he spent six weekends in Florida, which included golf time.
His play time has cost taxpayers more than $18 million since he regained the presidency, setting him on a pace to exceed the $151.5 million he spent in his first term, according to a HuffPost analysis.
Those cost include the flight of Air Force One and a C-17 transport plane with all the vehicles for the motorcade. There are also police boats and a Coast Guard vessel in the waters off the barrier island where Mar-a-Lago is located.
But he is apparently rethinking his plans and wants to focus more on the country.
‘Although many presidents have all played golf while in the White House, he’s telling all his golf buddies that he’s putting away his clubs to focus on the country,’ a source told Page Six at the end of last year.
‘Between the security threats and the need to kick his administration into high gear, he says he doesn’t have enough time for golf the way he has had in the past,’ the source said.

Trump is also personally invested in the golf world.
The Trump family is partners with LIV Golf and has repeatedly hosted LIV tournaments at its golf venues, including one scheduled for April at the Trump National Doral in Miami.
And the president has also taken an active role in trying to broker a peace deal between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, even hosting a meeting between the rival parties at the White House last month, to work out a championship schedule.
He has claimed to have won many championships at his properties but some of his boasts about his golfing accomplishments have been refuted by various different sources.
In 2023, he claimed to have won the Senior Club Championship at West Palm Beach, despite DailyMail.com revealing that he had not even playing in the first round of the tournament.
Insiders said that competitors arriving for day two of the contest on Sunday morning were surprised (although not exactly shocked) to see his name at the top of the leaderboard with a five-point lead over the overnight leader.

He apparently told members that he had played an excellent round on Thursday and that would count as his first day’s score.
In August of the same year, he claimed to have picked up the winner’s trophy for the Senior Club Championship at his course in Bedminster, New Jersey by shooting a 67.
Incredibly, that score would have beaten all but six of the 144 rounds played there by professional golfers six weeks earlier in a LIV Golf event.
In recounting that victory, Trump wrote online: ‘ For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete – I have won many Club Championships, and it is always a great honor.’
