President Donald Trump’s address to Congress erupted in chaos as a heckling Democrat was thrown out and lawmakers tried to drown out his speech.
Trump, 78, paid tribute to Elon Musk’s work at DOGE to slash federal spending, said the U.S. would no longer be ‘woke’ and blamed predecessor Joe Biden for the rising price of eggs in the address after a rapid-fire first six weeks in office.
Melania Trump and his daughter Ivanka watched as he ripped into the ‘insane’ policies that have ‘destroyed our country’ – while opposing lawmakers held up signs saying ‘false’.
Trump’s speech titled ‘The Renewal of the American Dream’ is touting his America First policies and praising his fast-moving agenda in the first few weeks back in office and what he plans to do over the next four years.
His speech was quickly derailed by Democrat Al Green who shouted at him during the opening of the address. He was quickly escorted out of the House chamber by the Sergeant at Arms while Republicans chanted ‘USA, USA’.
