Donald Trump is once again the champion of his golf club’s annual tournament… according to the man himself on TruthSocial.

The president claims to be a regular winner of the club championship in Palm Beach, Florida, and 2025 is no different after he was pictured arriving for his round on Sunday morning.

Posting to TruthSocial shortly before 3pm ET, he wrote: ‘I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida.

‘Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the even [sic]. Such fun!’

This time last year, Trump took to social media to claim that he had won the 2024 edition of not only the Club Championship, but also the Senior Club Championship, at the same course in West Palm Beach.

In the aftermath of his post, which boasted ‘I WON BOTH!!!’ in capital letters, he was mocked by then-president Joe Biden, who wrote on X: ‘Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment.’

In previous years, Trump’s boasts about his golfing accomplishments have been refuted by various different sources.

In 2023, he claimed to have won the Senior Club Championship at West Palm Beach, despite DailyMail.com revealing that he had not even playing in the first round of the tournament.

Insiders told us that competitors arriving for day two of the contest on Sunday morning were surprised (although not exactly shocked) to see his name at the top of the leaderboard with a five-point lead over the overnight leader.

He apparently told members that he had played an excellent round on Thursday and that would count as his first day’s score.

In August of the same year, he claimed to have picked up the winner’s trophy for the Senior Club Championship at his course in Bedminster, New Jersey by shooting a 67.

Incredibly, that score would have beaten all but six of the 144 rounds played there by professional golfers six weeks earlier in a LIV Golf event.

In recounting that victory, Trump wrote online: ‘ For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete – I have won many Club Championships, and it is always a great honor.’

The president owns 16 golf courses around the world, including 12 in the US, two in Scotland, one in the UAE, and another in Ireland.

As a huge golf fan, he has also taken an active role in trying to broker a peace deal between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, even hosting a meeting between the rival parties at the White House last month.
