Donald Trump rolled out another nickname for Kamala Harris on Monday night, trialing his latest attack as his Democratic rival for president dominates headlines with her running mate pick.

In a series of posts on his Truth Social website, Trump referred to Harris as ‘Kamabla,’ the latest in a series of slights directed at her Indian name.

He and his supporters have repeatedly mispronounced her first name and last week Trump accused her of only recently remembering her black heritage, even though she has long talked of her biracial roots with an Indian mother and a Jamaican father.

Harris’s supporters said it was just a sign of the insults and chaos they expect from the Trump campaign.

Trump rolled out the new nickname on Monday evening.

‘People vote with their STOMACH, and food is now at an all time high because of Kamabla/Biden INCOMPETENCE,’ he wrote, with his trademark mix of capital letters.

‘With them in charge, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE!’

He used it again in two more posts.

‘Kamabla has stated, over and over again, that she wants to DEFUND THE POLICE AND, WITHOUT QUESTION, BAN FRACKING,’ he wrote in the next one.

‘”NO MORE FOSSIL FUEL.” This will quadruple the cost of energy in America! DEPRESSION ANYONE!’

Trump’s allies initially reacted with glee when Biden announced that he was dropping out of their race.

But they have become increasingly concerned at the way Democrats avoided weeks of infighting by coalescing behind Harris.

As a result, she has enjoyed a surge in fundraising and has gained traction in the polls.

A poll average maintained by the FiveThirtyEight statistics site puts her in the lead over Trump by 45.5 percent to 43.5 percent.

Trump’s own pollster has dismissed the bump as a shortlived ‘honeymoon,’ but it has still forced Republicans to recalibrate their strategy and try to regain headlines from a shiny new object on the Democratic side.

Last week Trump attracted widespread anger when he claimed Harris had only recently begun talking about her black heritage.

‘I’ve known her a long time indirectly. Not directly very much,’ he told the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago

‘She was always of Indian heritage. And she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black. And now she wants to be known as black.

‘So I don’t know, is she Indian, or is she black?’#

The Harris campaign denounced his comments and said it was ‘a taste of the chaos and division that has been a hallmark of Trump’s MAGA rallies this entire campaign.’
