President Donald Trump was forced to abandon his helicopter on his way to his Florida golf club on Thursday.
The president had arrived at Miami International Airport at 4.45pm, and promptly boarded a helicopter – which is referred to as Marine One when the president rides in it – for his short hop to the Doral golf club, the Palm Beach Post reports.
But just before takeoff, officials said they noticed a ‘wheel issue’ and were forced to change helicopters.
It is believed that the issue affecting Marine One was a flat tire in the back of the vehicle.
Trump was then seen walking across the tarmac from one helicopter to another.
Still, the president arrived safely at Doral at 5.35pm, following a brief delay, according to NBC News.
He is now expected to travel to his Mar-a-Lago estate, where he is due to arrive by around 10pm.
