Donald Trump’s Transportation Department fired around 400 Federal Aviation Administration workers in the past several days.
Secretary Sean Duffy addressed the mass layoffs on X last night after another harrowing plane crash in Toronto that had Democrats quickly blaming Trump.
‘Here’s the truth: the FAA alone has a staggering 45,000 employees. Less than 400 were let go, and they were all probationary, meaning they had been hired less than a year ago. Zero air traffic controllers and critical safety personnel were let go,’ he stated.
He was firing back after Biden’s former Sec. Pete Buttigieg pressed him to explain why FAA personnel were fired.
