Donald Trump has 141 million reasons not to be too glum about the 34 counts where a Manhattan Jury found him guilty.

His campaign announced a stunning $141 million fundraising haul for May, a month where Trump was in court most days of the week complaining about everything from the temperature in the courtroom to what he called a ‘rigged’ trial.

The total includes $53 million raised online in the 24 hours after the former president was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the hush money trial.

That was a period where the Trump campaing sent out repeated fundraising blitzes, and supporters repeatedly clicked ‘donate’ as word of the conviction on all counts of falsifying business records.

The total includes funds raised by the Republican National Committee, co-headed by Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara, who accompanied him at trial and sent out regular fundraising appeals online.

It comes from an extraordinary 2 million donations and with a quarter of them coming form first-time donors.

The overall impact on the public is yet to be seen, although Trump fared well in early snap polls including one by DailyMail.com immediately after the verdict.

Trump complained repeatedly about being stuck in a courtroom when he should have been campaigning, but still hauled in millions while commuting home to Trump Tower. He gave regular statements attacking the case that got picked up by cable networks.

Trump Campaign senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles cheered the news and echoed their client’s attacks on the court.

‘We are moved by the outpouring of support for President Donald J. Trump. The American people saw right through Crooked Joe Biden’s rigged trial, and sent Biden and Democrats a powerful message – the REAL verdict will come on November 5th,’ they said in a statement.

‘President Trump raised $141 million this month because Americans remember the roaring economy, secure border, and peace through strength at home and abroad under Donald J. Trump, and we will return to prosperity and success when he is re-elected in November,’ they added.

The May fundraising haul came from a period where former fixer Michael Cohen and porn star Stormy Daniels testified against him.

Daniels even revealed salacious details about a 2006 affair that Trump denies, providing material for what Trump’s lawyers say is grounds for appeal.

The jury verdict came in May 30th.

President Biden made ample use of the time Trump was tied down in court to travel the country to raise money.

He had $192 million in the bank, having hauled in $51 million in April, trailing Trump that month.

The Biden camp has yet to announce its own fundraising haul.
