Troye Sivan has praised Timothée Chalamet’s impression of him on Saturday Night Live, calling it ‘great’ and ‘awesome’.
The n singer, 28, certainly wasn’t shy as he spoke of his shock and surprise on The Sunday Project this week.
Troye admitted he knew the skit show had asked for approval to use his song Got Me Started, but little else.
‘Saturday Night Live asked to clear ‘Got Me Started’ so I knew they wanted to use the song, but I didn’t know for what,’ he said.
Curious Troye confessed he searched who was hosting the episode, only to find out it was the Hollywood heartthrob.
Singer Troye Sivan, 28, (pictured) heaped praise on Hollywood movie star Timothée Chalamet during an interview on The Sunday Project, after the actor played him during a skit on SNL
‘It was Timothee and I was like ”there’s no way, there’s no way” and then I just watched it live [with everyone else],’ he said.
Troye said that he was surprised that the show did an entire skit where the A-list actor imitated him.
‘I thought it would be a quick moment if I was lucky or something but it’s this full sketch and it’s awesome. It was great,’ he said.
When asked if he would be interested in a collaboration, Troye added that he’ll have to impersonate Timothee now.

Chalamet has been gaining widespread praise for his portrayal of Sivan, who played off Troye’s ‘twink-turned-indie popstar’ reputation.
The skit took place in a hospital with the patient being told she was the ‘fourth woman this week who’s suffering from Troye Sivan dancing as their sleep demon.’
When asked if the singer was famous, the doctor in the skit replied: ‘He’s gay famous, it’s different.’
The sketch ended with everyone showing off their underwear, in a nod to Troye’s choreography in Got Me Started.
It comes after Troye dominated the ARIA Awards this week, the n music industry’s night of nights after dropping Something to Give Each Other.
The One Of Your Girls hitmaker took home the coveted Best Solo Artist award as well as the publicly-voted Song of the Year.
He also landed the Best Engineered Release and Best Produced Release awards which were accepted by his producer Styalz Fuego.
Troye has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards this year.
