A former Bachelorette star who recently came out as transgender sparked controversy online after she posted a video about using women’s restrooms.

Josh Seiter, 37, was born male and appeared in season 11 of the hit show, competing with other men for the hand of the female contestant.

On Sunday, Seiter posted a video to Instagram, where she appeared to be leaving a women’s restroom in a Walmart. In the clip, she is wearing a low-cut red dress that reveals her ample chest hair and tattoos.

‘I have to admit the women’s bathroom is so much nicer than the men’s bathroom,’ she said, holding a piece of paper towel in her hands.

‘Did you know they even have waste-bins for your feminine hygiene products?’ She asked her nearly one million followers.

The short clipped provoked outrage among viewers, with many people incensed that Seiter was using the women’s bathroom.

‘You should NOT be allowed to use the woman’s washroom. You are a MAN,’ one frustrated user commented on the video.

A female viewer fumed: ‘As a REAL woman I do not support you at all! You should be in jail for using women’s restroom, locker rooms, and other women’s facilities!’

‘I don’t care HOW you identify yourself, if you have a man’s genitals you should NOT be using our bathroom!’ another person wrote. They added: ‘I’d be IRATE if my daughter was in that restroom while you were using it!!!’

And one viewer simply remarked: ‘Not appropriate for you to be going into the women’s bathroom AT ALL.’

Seiter came out as a transwoman in May 2024. She recently disclosed that she is not on hormone therapy, and that she is not sure if she will undergo reassignment surgery.

After being eliminated, Seiter returned to work as a stripper and courted a string of high-profile girlfriends, among them reality stars Yolanda Leak and Karine Staehle – both of whom appeared on 90 Day Fiancé – and then Love After Lockup’s Lizzie Kommes.

But behind the scenes, she was coming to terms with her sexuality – finally revealing she that she was bisexual and engaged to a fellow exotic dancer in June 2023.

When Seiter came out as transgender this year, she faced widespread criticism, especially for her decision to retain her thick beard.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the influencer revealed that much of the backlash has paradoxically come from liberal groups.

‘Ironically, I’ve actually found that the far left and the LGBTQ community have been some of the most vitriolic and mean towards me throughout all of this,’ Seiter said.

But despite the sharp online criticism, she does not plan on shutting down her social media accounts.

‘I always want to have a conversation,’ she told DailyMail.com. ‘I think open debate and civic debate and dialogue are great.

‘We live in a democracy in America where you have freedom of speech and it’s okay to disagree with people,’ Seiter added.
