A young tradesman has died after he was electrocuted and fell from a roof while on the job in Sydney.
Emergency crews were called to a butcher shop in Engadine in the city’s south about 11:40am on Tuesday after reports one of two men working on an air conditioning unit on the roof had been injured.
A man in his 20s tragically died at the scene while a second man, in his 60s, was treated by paramedics and is recovering.

It’s understood the tradie was electrocuted before he fell from the roof and a colleague performed CPR until paramedics took over
It is understood the older man tried to give the junior tradie first aid and CPR before paramedics arrived.
Safework NSW has been notified and is conducting an investigation into the incident.
Police are also following up on the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
‘As inquiries continue, anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Sutherland Shire Police Area Command,’ a statement from NSW Police said.
