A worker has died after getting trapped in cement crushing machinery at a Queensland construction site.
Emergency services were called to Knight St in Rockhampton just after 11.30am on Tuesday after reports a 68-year-old man was injured.
A technical rescue team and paramedics carefully freed the man before he was put on a stretcher and rushed to Rockhampton Hospital about 12.30pm.
The worker later on Tuesday afternoon died from head injuries, reports Rockhampton newspaper The Morning Bulletin.
The man was working at the Knight Pro Trade Centre project, an 8.19ha site which formerly housed railyards that is set to be transformed into an industrial estate.

It is understood he got trapped in heavy duty equipment used to level the site.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland are leading an investigation into the incident.
‘Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) is investigating an incident involving a worker at a construction site in Rockhampton today (Tuesday),’ a spokesman said.
‘WHSQ inspectors were immediately deployed to the incident after being notified around lunchtime.’
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
