Chloe Brockett has claimed ‘producers set her up’ after a ‘vicious fight’ with Roman Hackett saw her axed from the ITV series.
After being cast on the show aged 19 alongside her mother, Chloe, now 24, became known for her fiery personality, romances with the likes of Roman and James Lock, and bitter fallouts, including blazing rows with her former best friend Amber Turner.
But in the summer of 2023, she was suspended from TOWIE after throwing three tumbler glasses at her co-star Roman while filming in Essex.
Chloe has now alleged that she was ‘told to throw a drink’ him and slammed the series for its ‘fake storylines’.
Speaking in an explosive interview with The Sun, she explained: ‘They didn’t care about me, they just wanted ratings for their flagging show.
‘TOWIE set me up. The producers repeatedly told me to chuck a drink at him. When it all went wrong, they turned on me as though they had not had any part of it.’

Chloe claimed producers ‘instigated’ the entire scene and she never wanted to throw a drink at Roman, explaining how plastic glasses were usually used on set but in this instance they weren’t.
‘I tried to leave that day, but they talked me round, I was crying. The fake storylines we were forced to do were too much. It was clear I was in no fit state to be doing any work,’ she said.
A TOWIE spokesperson said: ‘The welfare of TOWIE’s cast and crew is of primary importance. Any concern regarding behaviour is immediately investigated and dealt with in line with our robust protocols.
‘Safety on set is central to our production and cast members would never be instructed to do anything they disagreed with or indeed be asked to discuss any false narratives.’
At the time, the cast were said to have been ‘appalled’ by Chloe’s behaviour and called for her to be axed from the show permanently, before she later quit.
Chloe told she dreaded still being on the show in her late 20s, like her former co-star Pete Wicks, who left the series after nine years in 2023.
In an exclusive interview, she previously said: ‘Now I’ve left TOWIE, I’m really happy.
‘I got to the point that I had been on the show for five years and I didn’t feel like I could progress anymore. I have things going on where I can progress, so I wanted to put all my focus there.
‘I am really aware that those five years have gone by really fast and if I blink again, I’ll be on the show for 10 years and I just don’t think I can do that. It has happened for some people, but it definitely wasn’t going to happen for me.’
During the incident, Chloe claimed Roman called her a ‘fat c***’, which led to her throwing the glasses.

However Roman refuted the claim as he recounted his version of event, and explained that while he did say those words, he didn’t say them to her face, and instead swore under his breath as he turned away after she threw the glasses.
Insiders working on the show told The Sun how they would never have allowed glasses to be present on set if they knew that drinks were going to be thrown.
While Chloe’s version of events suggests that she threw the glasses as a result of the insult, Roman revealed this was not the case.
He added: ‘I did her a favour by not saying anything, but I won’t stand for someone making false allegations.’
After the incident, Roman also revealed that Chloe reached out to him and apologised for the argument, but failed to say sorry for throwing the glasses.
The reality star also confirmed he has had no contact with Chloe since the incident, which left her suspended from the show, and their friendship is now over.
