Handwritten ‘alibi scripts’ detailing the supposed movements of Michelle Troconis on the day Jennifer Dulos disappeared have been shown in court.

Troconis, 49, started her day on May 24, 2019 at 6.40am by taking a shower with her late boyfriend and Jennifer’s ex Fotis Dulos, according to her note that prosecutors allege she wrote to cover both their tracks.

Luxury real estate developer Fotis is accused of brutally attacking Jennifer in her New Canaan home that day, shortly after she returned from the school run for their five kids, then aged between eight and 13.

His new lover, Venezuelan socialite Troconis, is charged with helping him dispose of the evidence. She denies all charges, and since Fotis killed himself in January 2020 she has faced court proceedings alone.

On the ninth day of her trial at Stamford Superior Court, jurors were shown three notes which prosecutors say were seized from Fotis’ home on Jefferson Crossing, Farmington CT, where he lived with Troconis and her daughter at the time.

Former Connecticut State Police Detective Matthew Reilly read the notes to the court, which Fotis and Troconis are accused of writing together to detail their movements.

Prosecutors have previously argued that the pair concocted a false alibi with the scripts, but jurors have not yet been told who penned the notes.

Troconis’ lawyer Jon Schoenhorn objected to them being called ‘alibi scripts’, and his client previously told cops they outlined their activities on the day of Jennifer’s disappearance on the advice of their attorneys.

The Venezuelan defendant’s note details her movements from waking at 6.40am, when she wrote that she ‘took a shower with Fotis’, to making juice and scrambled eggs with her then-nine year old daughter Nicole.

She spent the morning that Jennifer was allegedly killed running errands, before meeting Fotis for lunch according to the note.

Troconis’ list finishes at 5.10pm, with her noting that she ‘drove to pick up rugs and drove back’ (home) – more than two hours before she is accused of dumping bags of evidence around Hartford CT with Fotis.

Jurors were shown a similar note written by Fotis detailing his activities, along with a third piece of paper bearing a long list of phone calls made and received by Troconis that day.

Under cross-examination, Reilly said he did not test the ‘alibi scripts’ for fingerprints.

He also admitted that he did not find any evidence relating to Jennifer’s disappearance, such as traces of blood, at Fotis’ Farmington home.

Detective Reilly previously spoke about evidence relating to Jennifer’s Chevy Suburban, which prosecutors claim Fotis used to transport her body out of her home on the day of the killing.

Jennifer’s body was never found, but the Chevy was recovered around three miles away from her New Canaan property.

Reilly said he sprayed the trunk of the Chevy with luminol, a liquid which glows blue when it detects the presence of blood and other substances.

The detective confirmed that the test glowed blue over two spots on the lining of the truck’s cargo area, adding: ‘We further examined that area, conducted a presumptive test, obtained a positive result, and took further evidentiary samples’.

Reilly also spoke about the luminol tests last Tuesday, when jurors were shown new images of alleged bloodstains in Jennifer’s kitchen.

He said some of the garage samples tested positive for blood. The swabs were sent to a lab for confirmation, but none of the witnesses have testified yet about these results.

Under cross-examination by Schoenhorn, Reilly agreed that the luminol tests would also have appeared positive for a ‘laundry list’ of other substances.

Schoenhorn attempted to block detectives from testifying about their use of a luminol swab to identify some of the stains as blood earlier in the trial, claiming the test is based on ‘junk science’.

He made an impassioned statement to press outside, saying that luminol, which glows blue when blood is present, also presents the same color for substances including bleach, rust, paint and turpentine.

But Judge Kevin Randolph ruled that evidence regarding luminol was admissible, adding that Schoenhorn would get an opportunity to cross-examine officials about it.

Earlier on Wednesday, Jennifer’s heartbroken friend Carrie Luft described seeing her blood-soaked clothing as it was shown to jurors the previous day, in a statement she issued on behalf of her family.

‘Witnessing Jennifer’s blood-soaked clothing, knowing that was the shirt, the bra, she wore on the last day of her life, made us imagine, again, what she must have endured on May 24, 2019,’ Luft said.

‘We hope that seeing this evidence in three dimensions can put an end to any suggestion that Jennifer is “missing”.

‘She died a tragic death, and her loss is felt beyond what words can express. We are grateful to the prosecution and the investigators for their meticulous collection and presentation of evidence in this case.

‘Above all, we trust in justice, and we hope that this trial will help provide answers to, and accountability for, what was done to Jennifer that day.’

On Tuesday, the eighth day of Troconis’ trial, jurors were shown blood-soaked items including a bra, zip ties and a razor recovered in the days after Jennifer’s disappearance.

They were also presented with a blood-stained Vineyard Vines shirt, white T-shirt, poncho, black gloves and a white bath towel retrieved by cops.

On day eight of her trial, state prosecutors showed jurors several bloodied items found inside garbage cans on Albany Avenue in Hartford by Connecticut State Police Sergeant Kevin Duggan.

Duggan said he collected the items on May 30, 2019, six days after Jennifer’s disappearance.

Jurors were shown what a blood-soaked bra and towel which were once white, zip ties, a bloodied plastic poncho, a stripy black and white long sleeved shirt, a razor blade and a screwdriver.

Duggan said each of the items was stained with a ‘blood-like substance’ and they were sent to labs for further investigation.

According to police, Fotis and Troconis binned 30 bags of items, and Jennifer’s blood was detected on some of the objects found in the trash cans.

Prosecutors claim that Fotis killed Jennifer after she returned home from dropping their five children at school, who were then aged between eight and 13. Her body was never found.

Troconis’ trial began January 11 and it is expected to continue for six weeks before jurors are sent out for deliberations.

Jurors previously heard from several Connecticut detectives on the case, and the Dulos family’s nanny Lauren Almeida.

Almeida, 32, gave illuminating insights into the inner lives of the wealthy Dulos family, describing their family holidays to luxury ski and beach resorts.

She told the court that the Dulos parents were initially ‘nice’ to each other but their relationship deteriorated, and when Jennifer found out about Fotis’ affair with Troconis in March 2017 it took a turn for the worse.

Almeida said Fotis often intimidated Jennifer, and she grew so scared of him that she fled from their Farmington family home with their five kids in secret to file for divorce from the safety of a five-star hotel Manhattan hotel and hired a bodyguard.

She also recounted how she ate lunch in Jennifer’s kitchen with her children hours after the Connecticut mother vanished – oblivious to the tiny bloodstains in the room, which would later become a crime scene.

Almeida said in hindsight there were several chilling signs that Jennifer had not gone about her day as normal – including a full cup of tea and granola bar in the kitchen, and her expensive handbag strewn on the floor.

The nanny, who still lives with the now-orphaned Dulos children and Jennifer’s mother Gloria, wore a silver necklace with the number ‘5’ on – possibly a nod to the brood – as she gave testimony over two days.

Jurors were also shown text messages Fotis sent to Almeida in the days following Jennifer’s disappearance asking several times for ‘updates’ on his missing wife, before he was identified as a suspect.

Jennifer’s body was never found, but Judge William P. Osterndorf declared her ‘officially dead’ last week.

Troconis’ trial began in Stamford began on Thursday before pausing over the weekend and for Martin Luther King Jr Day.

On the first day, the state presented bodycam footage of officers searching Jennifer’s home in New Canaan, Connecticut, including the garage where police say Jennifer was so badly injured that she bled profusely.

Jurors were shown what appeared to be a bloody footprint in her garage, and various red marks on the Range Rover parked in the central bay.

Troconis’ sister Claudia, flanked by their parents Marisela and Carlos, made an emotional statement outside the Stamford courthouse following the first hearing, insisting that Michelle is innocent.
