ABC News Breakfast host Tony Armstrong has been nominated for a Gold Logie.

And on Tuesday, the popular presenter, 34, revealed the one thing he doesn’t like about being up for the prestigious gong after returning to the show following a 11-week break.

He told viewers he did not like smiling in photos used to advertise voting.

Co-host Michael Rowland teased Armstrong after sharing a promotional photo of the hunky star frowning.

‘How sizzling is that [photo],’ Rowland joked, adding: ‘When they asked you to pose for that, what did they say to you? What sort of look were they after?’

Armstrong responded: ‘They normally say, “we want you to smile more”. And I don’t like smiling too much in photos, as you all know.’

‘Fun fact,’ Rowland teased Armstrong.

Rowland also shared a behind-the-scenes video in which Armstrong can be seen watching a segment promoting his Gold Logie nomination.

Meanwhile, Armstrong revealed during News Breakfast that he would only be working on the show Tuesday to Fridays while also co-hosting the ABC’s new sports show, Monday Experts, with Catherine Murphy.

While hosting the show, he revealed there was at least one thing he did not like about being up for the prestigious gong. He told viewers he did not like smiling in photos
